“One in our party is a Vegan. Based on our research we chose Back Bench. We ordered one Vegan and one Pepperoni pizza. Both were very good. We learned there is a daily limit of pizzas created and once that number is hit, the kitchen closes. Back Bench offers slices.

Located in the downtown area of Ventura, there's a busy vibe, lots of people out. Can get 4 hour free parking in a nearby lot, otherwise, there are meters. We used the ParkMobile app to easily pay for street parking.“

“Pizza Chief is truly a Ventura gem! The people who work there are always warm and super friendly. But the pizza… wow. It’s seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The crust is perfect every time, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and they nail the balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Every bite is delicious! All their other food is amazing. The dressings are so flavorful, their sandwiches are great, and the lasagna is delicious! But honestly, the pizza is the star of the show!! You can’t go wrong with anything there. Oh and they also have great beer!! My entire family loves it there! Highly, highly recommended!“

“Pizza is always great. It keeps getting smaller in my opinion they must be cutting back on the portion. The large doesnt fill the pan feels like a medium instead of a large. I must say manager Joe is one nice guy he makes you feel welcome . He is a great guy. They always have the dodger game on .“

“I was first introduced to Bright Spark In March at the Ventura Beer Experience. We talked with a lovely couple behind the table and tasted Day Trip, which has become my all-time favorite. We were introduced to a concept called Musical Bingo that day, and I was delighted to make my first visit to the brewery on my 55th birthday in May. Every single one of the employees there was kind, gracious, and warm. The food was absolutely amazing and the Musical Bingo is so much fun! I have since been dragging people left and right there and recommending you guys because of what a great laid back family-friendly atmosphere it is. “I tried this spot for the first time, I was drawn in by the Nduja wings, they didn't serve them when I went. The wings they did have, were delicious, a little under cooked for my preference, but the flavor was so good we wanted more. The pizza was delicious as well.
