Second visit to Butter & Fold. Delicious French pastries.
Enjoyed a good flat white with a light pastry. Liked the seating and the atmosphere.
The food and the coffee were really nice. The location is right on the main street so it can be a bit noisy but we sat inside so it was fine. The babka bread was especially good. I had never had it before but the barista said it had chocolate and pastry cream inside so I decided to try it and I’m glad I did.

The croissants are considered the best on the coast of California within 100 miles of Los Angeles, and the kouign-aman is a must-try when available. The freshly baked treats sell out quickly, filling the air with the aroma of baked goods. They also sell bread in the afternoons. The coffee is high quality, with options like shaken espresso and flat white, expertly prepared by staff who know their craft. House-made sodas are unique and always refreshing, and the loose leaf, made-to-order tea selection is exceptional. The interior reflects the building's exterior and offers nice seating and windows, making it a great spot for working on a laptop or reading. Even on busy Sunday mornings, seating is easy to find. The staff, including friendly and attentive owners, create a warm and genuine service experience. Overall, it is a really great place; some customers wish for more savory non-pastry options in the morning, and note that take-out coffee can be slow when busy. Visitors often find themselves dreaming of the butter bread after the first bite of their pastry.
