“AMAZING Mediteranean food!! If we lived near here, we would dine at Georgie's often! The steak and chicken kebab as well as the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked! As a delicious accent our family feasted on tasty rice, Mediterranean salad, cucumber yogurt salad, and grape leaf rolls. To top off a wonderful meal, we ordered their walnut baklava...WOW! “Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.“

“Good mediterranean food can be hard to find, so, when visiting California, I’d definitely recommend stopping by this place. Located in an industrial strip mall this small but quaint restaurant is tucked away amongst other businesses, and with no signage above the doors it can easily be missed.

I ordered the salmon kebab with grilled vegetables instead of rice. Chucks of salmon squares served on skewers and separated by grilled vegetables was a visual masterpiece. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing as did the grilled vegetables. The dish was served along side hummus, a side salad and pita bread.

I did find the pita bread a little more crisper and flaker than I’m accustomed to and it did lack a bit of flavor. With that said, I throughly enjoyed my meal.

Kudos, to the entire staff. Specifically, Lucy, her enthusiasm, personality and professional demeanor was great. She truly understands the criticality of providing exceptional customer service.“

Typical SoCal ordering set-up with menu board above the order station. Make your choices, pay, find a table, and wait for your order. You can get your self-serve drink and condiments while you're waiting. Service is generally good with some enthusiastic staff. Food is very good. We shared a chicken schwarma plate with hummus and pita. We added on sides of another hummus and pita. Note that hummus and pita count as 2 sides here. The hummus was good and generous. The pita was grilled and was that lovely fluffy Greek style pita. The schwarma was tender, tasty, juicy, and covered in drippings. I wasn't into spicy, so I got the OG garlic sauce. Deliciously subtle. Prices are reasonable for these days. I noticed another store closer to where we live. Good to know.“

They also offer a buffet for Iftar on weekdays during the holy month of Ramadan. However, we reached late on that day and hence will be going there again to try the buffet.

“Tried out your Cerritos location, I lived in LA almost 3years and food especially the kebab wrap was the best by far and I have tried different kebab place’s before in LA. One of the best Kebab place in America, the lamb was moist and very tasty with great flavors, the combination of the hummus, salad, fries combined with the lamb was delicious, the fresh flat bread was soft and crispy on the outside. Add the garlic yogurt sauce wow your tastebuds explodes in your mouth, the food was very lite and not heavy like most kebab place so they got the right balance by using the flat bread and not pita bread that most place use on the wrap Well done this place remind me of a place back home in New Zealand. I give The Kebab shop in Cerritos 10/10 Highly Recommend this place to my friends and family and different locations in America. Will go again and try something different on the menu.“

“I’ve been going to Zankou Chicken for over 30 years starting with the Glendale restaurant. I’ve been to the Anaheim restaurant since it opened. Today I ordered to go, two half chicken plates per usual for my wife and I. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! The chicken was moist and flavorful. And the garlic sauce is the best as always. Zankou Chicken never disappoints!“
