great atmosphere and a very relaxing place to get some work done or fellowship.

No judgment just great ambiance.
Good coffee, reasonable prices, and lots of places to sit (inside and out). What more do you need?
One odd thing though... It does share a parking lot with what appears to be a mega church (or at least mega for the bay area). That's different, and may not be everyone's cup of tea/coffee, and I imagine parking must be rough on Sundays, but otherwise, once you're at the cafe it's just a shared area
Incredible space and friendliness at this cafe on a hill. Was in the area, and stopped in, surprised to see the cafe as an extension of a church. The space is expansive and welcoming, several people there to complete work while enjoying coffee and/or sweets. The iced mocha was smooth with a good amount of chocolatey goodness, but it wasn’t super remarkable. Located inside a church, Neighborhood Coffee feels like a little hidden gem. It recently changed from Cafe 4 and offers a unique food and beverage program. The chai is unique and perfect, matcha drinks are made with fresh hand-whisked matcha, and fruit teas contain all natural fruit purees. They deliver pastries daily from Starter Bakery, including a salted pretzel. The coffee is good and excellent, and a tuna Sand had a nice hint of sweetness to it. The cafe has ample space with plenty of comfortable seating options, a scenic view, and some patio seating outside. Over the day, it gets filled with people reading, working, socializing, or just hanging out, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere. The service has always been friendly and smooth, and the Baristas are nice, genuinely kind and friendly humans. Easy parking and being right next to the freeway makes getting on the road convenient. It is a genuine safe space ideal for studying, remote work, meetings, or socializing. One note: on Sundays, a sermon plays on the speakers. However, there are zero attempts to convert or push an agenda, and it has become one of the go to spots in Castro Valley.
