Did you grow up on the East Coast getting your meat from an Italian deli? I did. And this brought me back. My hometown shop was called Rubino's. It smelled identical to Lucca's. Lucca's sourdough bread had me hooked every day I was here visiting. Impossible to stay away. Great meats and cheeses, and friendly staff too. Don't change Lucca's.
Favorite local sandwich shop and has fantastic catering options. I will be so sad when I move out of the Bay Area and can no longer eat here! They also have a ton of take home meals and items made fresh.
