The menu choice has enough variety and uniqueness that it's fun for me to eat there. And between my partner and me, our meals have always been what we were looking for. My partner likes their grits and that gets us there. But the experience keeps me coming back.“

I've had better service than today's experience. $17 for a basic bacon, turkey and ham club with minimal portions is disappointing. $5.99 for a side salad, $3.99 for an Iced tea $29 for lunch, isn't worth going back for. Then additional tip expense. Multiply that by 2, over $60 for coffee shop food, no justification in my opinion.“

“This was such a lovely place. The atmosphere was nice with the low lighting, quiet background music, and beautiful art work around. It fits well for a romantic dinner occasion or upscale dinner with friends. The waitress was very attentive, upbeat, nice, and helpful in choosing food options. We ordered the prime steak mushroom pasta as well as the bolognese pasta. Both were exceptionally good! They allowed me to sample different wines until I liked one which was very considerate. The chef went above and beyond! I loved our experience here, I hope to be back soon!“

“This Sizzler is possibly the best one I've experienced. The salad bar is always fresh and maintained clean. The soups are as well. I really enjoyed the cheddar broccoli soap and the clam chowder was Awsome. The workers were very polite and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.“

This place is truly one of Modesto’s best-kept secrets (unfortunately) — and it deserves to be packed every night. We came here for my mom’s birthday dinner with a large group of 18–20 people, and from start to finish, everything was flawless. We ordered a variety of appetizers — the cheese board, Brussels sprouts, lamb meatballs, and almond-crusted chicken skewers — and every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Even with a group our size, all the food came out at the same time, hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The kids were served first (huge win for the parents!), and the service throughout the night was nothing short of exceptional. In a time when good service is rare, Burly’s truly goes above and beyond. Every single person at the table was impressed — most had never been there before, and every one of them said they’d be back. And while that birthday dinner was amazing, it wasn’t a one-off. Before moving out of the area, I’d eat lunch at Burly’s about once a week.
