“This was such a lovely place. The atmosphere was nice with the low lighting, quiet background music, and beautiful art work around. It fits well for a romantic dinner occasion or upscale dinner with friends. The waitress was very attentive, upbeat, nice, and helpful in choosing food options. We ordered the prime steak mushroom pasta as well as the bolognese pasta. Both were exceptionally good! They allowed me to sample different wines until I liked one which was very considerate. The chef went above and beyond! I loved our experience here, I hope to be back soon!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolute Hidden Gem — Modesto, Don’t Sleep on This Place! Can’t say enough good things about Burly’s Bistro. This place is truly one of Modesto’s best-kept secrets (unfortunately) — and it deserves to be packed every night. We came here for my mom’s birthday dinner with a large group of 18–20 people, and from start to finish, everything was flawless. We ordered a variety of appetizers — the cheese board, Brussels sprouts, lamb meatballs, and almond-crusted chicken skewers — and every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Even with a group our size, all the food came out at the same time, hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The kids were served first (huge win for the parents!), and the service throughout the night was nothing short of exceptional. In a time when good service is rare, Burly’s truly goes above and beyond. Every single person at the table was impressed — most had never been there before, and every one of them said they’d be back. And while that birthday dinner was amazing, it wasn’t a one-off. Before moving out of the area, I’d eat lunch at Burly’s about once a week. The food was consistently top notch, never hit-or-miss like so many other places. You always knew you were getting something great — and honestly, it's one of the spots I miss most since we moved away. I still crave it. Incredible food. Incredible service. Unmatched value. “Our family ate here a couple weeks ago. Everyone ordered something different and we shared. This will be our go to restaurant for family gatherings. The service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfectly. Sometimes we go to restaurants and there is something on the menu that we won’t order again. Not here!! We are from Modesto and this is now our favorite restaurant in the Central Valley. We’re making a reservation right now for 10 of us next week“

“These guys were great. I have celiacs, a gluten allergy, and they baked my hot wings and french fries just so I could eat. I really appreciate that as it's really hard to find good food.That's gluten free. They went out of their way to do this for me. The food was excellent! I highly recommend their hot wings and french fries! Delicious!“

“One of our favorite spots. We have brought several friends and family and boast about the incredible food and service. Only disappointment is the bathrooms. Such a beautiful location with very poor kept bathrooms. Tonight we have a reservation for 2 and got offered high top or the table next to the bathroom when every table but 3 were open. We try to make our date nights special tonight was disappointing with these options. (We reluctantly chose the table next to the bathroom) Our server Priscilla was so sweet she made up for it. But even when we were leaving there were still empty tables. It’s the little things like that, that will make us rethink our choice next time.“

“The most incredible dishes. Angela’s soups are to die for, and I get a few to take home every week. Her sandwiches and salads are so good and her risotto is the dreamiest. The staff is fun and fast and accommodate for meetings and large groups. The tri tip salad or sandwich is excellent but on Friday they have salmon salad that is the best ever“
