It looked like the parking lot was packed but there was plenty of parking upon further review. The waitress was so nice and sweet. (I hate that I didn’t ask her name) I got the Loco Moco and the Beignets. Both were REALLY GOOD. She actually didn’t charge me for the dessert because it didn’t come out the way they liked……. It was GOOD to me!! I am not a fan of creamy, mayonnaise, ranch, béchamel, hollandaise, type of sauce so I chose the safe route this time. It was delicious. Very filling and full of flavor. Can you imagine 20 of us, but we never had to ask for another drink, she automatically filled our glasses and she had a smile all the time. “This was our first visit to Sunny on South. We arrived around 1 pm, and we were immediately seated. We chose the patio area, as it looked much more pleasant than the inside seating.
My wife chose the Short Rib Birria Benedict. Two poached eggs, on shredded beef-rib meat and hashbrowns. We both agreed that it was a tasty meal. I chose the BIG Ern's Corned beef hash. This item included corned beef, diced potatoes, a couple of eggs, and a choice of bread. I wasn't as satisfied with the hash as my wife was with her meal. The potato chunks were a little large. The corned beef was a bit stingy and not prepared in a way that I could consider it hash. If you are a fan of corned beef hash, I suggest that you skip this dish. Both items were priced under $20.
We found the service to be fairly good. We were able to order in a reasonable amount of time, and our food arrived in a timely manner. However, it took some time to get boxes for our leftovers and the check.
Overall, we would eat here again, but it might not be our first choice.“

“Out of all the businesses that exist in this small plaza in Cerritos, Soup Shop has to be one of the best. Walking up to the front of the restaurant, I felt a little uncomfortable because there were so many people waiting for a table outside. I put name down for two and was told it would be a 25 minute wait but didn’t even end up waiting the whole 25, they had the table ready pretty quick.

After sitting down, we both ordered our pho and the food was out in less than ten minutes. I had the combination and my friend ordered the oxtail with a bone on the side. They were both amazing. Considering the price you pay, which most of the pho bowls here are over 15$, the portion makes it absolutely worth it. On top of that, you get unlimited noodle refills to eat with your soup. I have never had this before at any pho restaurant but it was a welcome change haha.

Our server was also very accommodating. He brought me a glass of hot water because I didn’t want ice water and he also checked on us repeatedly to make sure we were doing okay.“

The service wasn't great. Waters and sodas weren't refilled and empty plates sat on the table a long time.
The bread sticks came out cool rather than hot and fresh.
When we needed the waiter he was hard to find.
Then a new waiter took over and the old one never said goodbye.

Though the 2nd waiter wss good. We asked to take the last of our salad home and he just gave us a whole new salad to go. That was very cool.
And the chocolate birthday cake they sent over was outstanding.“

Great place for Vietnamese style dessert drinks. Definitely try the pandan mochi waffle, it's amazing, eat it while it's hot. Better than the taro waffle which is too sweet. I tried the Thai milk tea today and it tasted pre-mixed.“

Ever since I discovered Cho Dang last year, it’s become a staple in my local restaurant rotation. Chodang in Cerritos hits the spot when you’re craving comforting, cozy Korean eats. Their popular soondubu is rich, flavorful, and served boiling hot, just the way it should be. The sizzling stone pot bibimbap has the most perfect crispy rice layer on the bottom. Other dishes we tried included the donkatsu/pork cutlet and the seafood pancake.

Each and every item was delicious! There was nothing I would change about any of the food I had. It was and is always the perfect cozy meal. Service is great as well, and the portions are extremely generous. Hope you can try Cho Dang soon if you haven’t already!“
