About Café Maria

Café Maria is a new small business in Chico that has quickly become a must stop. The atmosphere is very nice, with tables and a cozy corner for two. The staff, run by a mother, daughter and son, are genuine, kind, and welcoming. The service is amazing; the daughter made a point to check how customers liked everything, making them feel listened to and respected. The food is amazing. Specific meals include the Mexi Mocha, sourdough toast with hazelnut spread and fruit, the regular breakfast sandwich with bacon, avocado toast with everything, chilaquiles, and a BLT with a cilantro sauce. The green sauce on the breakfast sandwich is out of this world, fresh and the perfect compliment. The chilaquiles are absolutely delicious, with salsa that binds the dish together. Desserts like flan are creamy and absolutely delicious. Drinks include an iced white mocha, iced arroz con leche latte, tres leches latte, and the coco puff cold brew, which is hands down the best coffee. The mango ceviche was also loved. Overall, a great addition to Chico with great vibes.
