10 Best Burger Restaurants in Chino Hills

“I'm not someone who craves American food every day, but every now and then, nothing satisfies quite like a great crafted burger.

Back in the 1990s, neighborhood burger joints were everywhere. Every town seemed to have its own local favorite, where burgers were grilled to order with unmistakable character. Those places made crafted burgers one of my all-time favorite comfort foods. Unfortunately, as national chains steadily expanded over the past two decades, many of those independent burger shops quietly disappeared. Finding a true old-school burger joint today feels almost like searching for a hidden treasure.

With that nostalgia in mind, I visited The Stand hoping to rediscover some of that magic. We ordered the restaurant's Stand Burger, the Ultimate Egg Burger, and the Chinese Chicken Chop Salad.

Let's start with the positives. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was appealing, and everything was prepared with care. The Chinese Chicken Chop Salad was particularly enjoyable, offering crisp vegetables, well-seasoned chicken, and a balanced dressing that made it more than just a side dish.

The burgers, however, left me wanting just a little more.

As someone who has very high expectations for crafted burgers, I'm looking for that unforgettable first bite—the smoky aroma from the grill, the rich beef flavor that fills your mouth, and a juicy patty with enough personality to stand on its own. While both burgers were certainly well above typical fast-food standards, they didn't quite deliver the depth of flavor or distinctive character I associate with truly exceptional crafted burgers.

To be clear, this isn't a criticism of quality. These are good burgers, and they're unquestionably a step above the mass-produced offerings of traditional fast-food chains. But for me, they still carry a level of consistency and polish that feels closer to a well-executed franchise concept than to a neighborhood burger shop with its own unique identity.

Of course, taste is deeply personal. My expectations are shaped by years of searching for those unforgettable local burger joints that seem to be disappearing from the American dining landscape. Someone looking for a fresh, satisfying, and consistently well-made burger will likely leave very happy. Those chasing the nostalgic, one-of-a-kind flavor of a classic independent burger stand, however, may come away wishing for just a bit more soul.

In the end, The Stand succeeds as a polished, reliable modern burger restaurant. It simply didn't rekindle the memories of the handcrafted burgers I grew up loving—and perhaps that's less a reflection of The Stand than of how rare those old neighborhood burger shops have become.“

“Definitely get the Santa Barbara Char! The buttery, crispy bun is so good, and I swear the cheese is grilled too. The guacamole is my favorite. The whole burger has a much bolder, richer flavor.

The regular Charburger is much lighter and fresher—perfect for a summer day.

And the sweet potato fries with Classic Ranch are a must. They’re not super crispy on the outside, but the sweet potato is so sweet and delicious. Definitely my favorite! 🍠“

“Food was good, freshly made and’s portion size was good. It didn’t take too long to receive order, cashier brought it out to my table. Fountain drinks available, plus additional aguas frescas. Free complimentary chips and salsa. Family is clean.“

“This Burger King is close of my house I recommend, they have a great service. My food was made fresh and DT was super fast they make a good improvement. I love this place my nuggets were super crispy.“

“The onion rings at Jack in the Box are absolutely delicious! I’ve tried onion rings at many other places, but nothing compares to the flavor of Jack in the Box. They have their own special touch and a secret taste that makes them irresistible. Crispy, flavorful, and always satisfying. I would come back again and again just for the onion rings. “There was a young man who went out of his way to make sure the bathroom room was clean for my little girl to use it comfortably I didn't get his name but he was the only one that went out of his way to make the bathroom customer satisfaction.. the woman that I asked first looked at me like I was crazy when I told her the restroom was dirty .. when the young man heard he jumped up and got it token care of it was 9/7/2024 at around 6 or 7pm .....
There were 2 women and another man, but he was on the floor getting a massage from another worker, a woman very unperfecional. But thank you, young man“

“I stopped by Wendy’s tonight, and I have to say, the service was outstanding! Andrew and Jacob at the drive-thru windows were incredibly helpful and professional. They made sure my order was accurate and handled everything with a friendly attitude. It’s always great to see employees who go above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. “For the many times that I’ve been to this Wendy’s location, the staff here is pretty efficient. I’ve only ever gone through the drive thru and they’ve always gotten my order correct and quick. I recommend ordering through their app to get rewards and to avoid wait times.

My go to menu items here are their chicken nuggets and their classic chicken sandwich. Food wise, the nuggets are very crispy and are among one of my favorite fast food nuggets all time, very flavorful and not too salty or heavy. The chicken sandwich is around $7-$8 so it’s pretty expensive along with other Wendy’s sandwich/burger items but it’s certainly delicious.

Overall, a decent Wendy’s location, they have plenty of parking as well as a long drive thru line. Would always consider this spot whenever I’m in a rush for some fast food.“

“I was having a horrid day. Up at 5am….Needed to get out of the office from all the yelling and screaming customers. The moment I placed my order I guess my face was showing how rough my day really was. Faby was so generous and with a gigantic smile took my order and explained everything can only get better at this point. The staff shows the customers love and respect.
