“A fantastic small place to get some good food. They do their breakfast a little different which I liked a lot. The hash browns can be served extra crispy and is the better for it. Also the chicken fried steak is done in a thinner batter which lets you taste the meat. The eggs are also well cooked and had a good flavor, where most places they are bland.“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

“Had the Louisiana omelette, fish and chips, and strawberry waffle. Their waffle is super light and crispy unlike the usual dense and heavy waffle and everything is seasoned nicely without being overbearing. 10/10 would recommend to oversea friends not used to salty American food.“

I don’t normally eat out due to rising costs and ability to make great food at home but thought I’d look for a nice local spot to try out. I was not disappointed at all after trying their Specialty Omelette with biscuits and gravy. Friendly staff and excellent food. Will definitely recommend to others and will be back. Most of the menu looks great and the pricing while not cheap, it certainly was worth the cost for the quality of the food prepared.“

“The food is always freshly prepared and as requested. The option of delivery is a very valuable one to me. The owner is always willing to add or subtract something from an item such as a sandwich and he remembers my changes. The delivery staff is always polite and kind, and the food comes quickly. I would give them a 10 star rating if I could!“

“I will never ever order anything from Lumberjacks Restaurant - Sacramento again. After getting this! Spent almost $100 on takeout breakfast, my meal came with 1 sausage and 1 bacon but the sausage looks like it had been sitting somewhere for weeks just getting dried tf out and when they found it they decided to put it on the top of my food! Wtf 😡 this sausage was so dry inside that it crunch when I snapped it in half. I'm ready to report them to the health department!!! pictures in the comments because I don't see the photos I added posting.“

What's offered at breakfast can be pretty simple but Huckleberry's makes it exciting to choose between their many dishes, which makes me want to come back to try something else next time. And the fried green tomatoes are a party in your mouth, plus their choice of teas and lemonades. Service is always outstanding. Highly recommend.“

“I base my sandwhich love off of fresh snappy ingredients. I ordered the croissant special and everything from the lettuce to tomato was crispy good. Great ratio of condiments too. I got the potato salad as a side and was pleasantly surpised with the added garlic, I do love me some garlic! A side note though, this spot is in a large office building on the first floor. Do a little exploring at the front entrances, you'll get there.“

I had questions he didn't know the answer to so instead of making up an answer, as many employees do, he got the manager to answer my questions which was extremely helpful and wise. “Our experience was wonderful. Shawn, the manager, greeted us upon entering & had us choose a seat anywhere we liked. He was welcoming & gracious. He brought us coffee & said Elijah would be around in a moment to take our orders. Shortly thereafter, Elijah arrived with a warm smile & lovely efficient manner. We inquired about the conversion from writing orders to entering them on a hand held computer. He was personable & had an infectious laugh as he related the change, his experience & how the process works. He remained attentive & engaged throughout our meal. We asked for boxes to take home leftovers. He returned with two & showed us how they fit. Later, he brought a bag to carry them. There were only 2-3 other tables at the time we were present. It made for a relaxed & enjoyable meal. Shawn stopped by as we were about to leave to ask about the service. We said it was great & Elijah is the best. It's been a long while since we encountered individuals so naturally attentive & caring in a restaurant. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. Many thanks, Shawn & Elijah. Your efficient service & engaging personalities are appreciated. We wish you much success. We will return. Until then, we will tell others about this terrific restaurant with the exemplary service.
