48 Best Ice Cream Shops near Clayton

“I've visited this location 2 or 3 times a week for the past 4 months. Not everyone here greets you when you walk in, and some who do seem to do it begrudgingly. But two employees, Cici and Ezzy, always greet me with warm smiles and the hospitality you'd expect from seasoned food service workers.

Last week I came in to order a cake. I'd never ordered one before and wasn't sure what I was looking for. As soon as I asked how the process worked, Cici jumped in and was very enthusiastic to help me out. You can tell she loves making cakes. She walked me through every part of the order, explained all of the options available, and was happy to answer all of my questions about customizations and details. I left knowing exactly what I was getting.

And that isn't just how they treat me, either. I've watched how Cici and Ezzy interact with other customers, and everyone leaves with a genuine smile. Thank you for the great experience!“

“Just found out this place exists. Can’t wait To bring my kid over and have him choose ice cream. They have a great selection on soft serve and regular ice cream. Let’s not talk about coffee. Yolo made a latte for me. That was amazing. Her personality was amazing. Definitely coming back to this place. Has a lot of character to walk inside. Great place to visit if you’re in the East Bay or Clayton.“

“Myself and a friend were looking for an ice cream joint in the Walnut Creek area, and happen to come across this place.

The owner is very friendly. We tried a variety of flavors, and then ended up getting the Roasted Cashew, Lemon Creme and the Strawberry.

The ice cream was very creamy and thick, with the right amout of sweetness. Extremely tasty. I always try ice cream at local joints, and this one exceeded all expectations. Will definitely come back, if I am in the area.“

“Just wanted to send a huge thank you for the amazing experience I had today! After a not-so great visit before, I was a bit unsure about coming back. But the two lovely ladies that attended me were so incredibly kind and understanding. They really turned things around! One of the ladies took my info in to ensure my experience was taken care of getting to chat with the manager made me feel like my feedback was truly valued. I'm so grateful for their kindness and for making me feel welcome again. You've definitely won me back. Thank you guys!“

“It was our first time in and not only was the owner so friendly and sweet to my son who made quite a mess in the restaurant but he replaced my son’s ice cream and even gave us a sample of their delicious authentic afghan ice cream, sheryakh and zhala! Absolutely amazing and game changing in the ice cream world. This place is authentic so healthy you can literally taste the authenticity. Can’t wait to try the food next. “High quality food, BETTER THAN In-N-Out!!
I got a Bacon Hamburger and it was super delicious. The lettuce was crunchy, onions were real and fresh they had that onion kick only real fresh onions give and the tomatoes were not soggy or tasted funny.“

“Yogurt Land had excellent flavors, fresh fruit, and toppings galore. The only reason it's a 4, not a 5, is due to the price. There were 5 of us, and the cost was $42. It is a little high and makes it hard to frequent with a larger family.“

“This coldstone is pretty good. After eating at Don Hao, which is the best Chinese Food in the Bay Area and right next door, we ordered a Oreo inspired ice cream cake to go. It was $40 which is on the pricey side but it was so damn good! I ate like 4 servings which was a crap ton or calories but so worth it! 😉

I highly recommend this coldstone.“

“It's a real improvement from the past dirty oriental store owners. Now it's bigger and cleaner with some friendly guys who I've seen around the area for a long time. They have a nice establishment that might soon take off, I've been told to expect a restaurant to be opening inside soon. I enjoyed their Philipino UBE ice cream which is hard to come by and they seem to be starting off their meat section which is still small but they could get big orders ready if you call ahead of time.“

“This place is so popular! I went on a Saturday night and there was a pretty constant stream of groups coming in to grab the yogurt. It’s clean, all the flavors/machines were functioning and all the toppings were well stocked and clean/fresh. There were some seating as well. There’s probably enough space in there for a few more seats along the wall on one side, but not complaining because at the pace of customers coming in, there was plenty of seating. Self serve, so minimal interaction with the staff but they seemed nice.
Will be back again soon!“

“So delicious! Loved the Black Sesame soft serve ice cream. It tastes like a mild chocolate flavor with a nutty aftertaste :)“

“I cannot resist stopping in here. It started out with me taking my cousins here after school on special occasions. Then I started taking them here frequently. “My wife & I were on railroad visiting some friends and we were in the mood for some ice cream!! We decided to check out our baskin robbins and lo and behold Big Man (the gentleman who also works there with Togo as well) was there!! Once again he proved to us with utmost haste that Big Man is here to guarantee top notch service as well as helping us indulge in one of our guilty pleasures! I highly recommend Big Man for the baskin robbins side of business. Big Man is similar to a ballerina with the way he gracefully bounced from serving a togo's customer then to us with a happy and upbeat greeting. 5/5! Again, my wife & I recommend Big Man for great service!!!“

“With Raleys corporate electing to close their Antioch grocery store, my wife and I wanted to thank the store employees for their years of service they provided us. We ordered 5 large pizzas. The manager gave me a 15% discount, which I used as a tip, asking him to deliver the pizzas. GREAT SERVICE!“
