“My general tso was a hit, it tasted so damn good ? ? ? and was made to order so it was fresh guaranteed, my Styrofoam plate was almost burnt from the sizzling oil from the general and mixed with white rice I obviously dug it in the excess oil and Sriracha sauce, I will be coming back for their other items for sure.“
“First time in here today. I actually downloaded the app prior to ordering. Ordering on the app was painless. I received a text message saying that was order was ready & waiting. Upon arrival, the restaurant appeared clean. Staff was friendly & greeted me. My food was hot & ready at the pickup table. The order was accurate & everything was labeled. Very pleased with my first visit. I'll definitely be returning.“
“Went yesterday to try it out, I've been to most Chinese buffet in a 1hr drive radius from cathedral City and this one takes the number one place on taste! Honestly the seasoning was exquisite they don't have a big variety but I was able the find shrimp in 3 different recipes clams squid salmon the cherry of the pie would have been small crawfish I like those. The atmosphere is very relaxing the cooks waiters and kitchen stuff are nice and welcoming. You don't feel pressured to leave or anything like that like in other places that they bring you the check without you asking for it like saying leave.Very tasty food“
“The food, top notch. Flavorful, fresh, original...and YUMMY!!! The ambience is perfect...you are immersed in the feel of the flavor. It's the staff...so friendly and fast...the service is amazing!!! You won't know until you try!! It truly is...JOY!!“
“I found this place by accident and am glad I did. The food is very good and the service is good. There's always a good crowd here and the last time I visited, we heard Asians tell the staff how much they liked the food. That's saying something about the authenticity of the meals!“
“Enjoyed the very busy Kowloon Chinese storefront. Don't blink or you drive right past. Our orders are ALMOND CHICKEN AND KUNG POW CHICKEÑ. Huge pot of steamed white rice and served first a nice warm bowl of egg drop soup. Yes you get your fortune cookie and then pack up your leftovers to go ... at least two more meals at home! At $10.95 ea this is a good value. The place was filled with happy friendly families enjoying their Chinese lunch @ Kowloon!“
“Excellent service, tasty food. I had the shrimp chow mein, my husband had the wor wonton soup, plus a small bowl of the egg flower soup. We liked it all. We were also impressed with the decor. It spoke "China" without being gaudy or cheap. Finally, the staff was very nice. And the prices were quite reasonable.“
“After two false starts dining at fake Chinese food establishments, I desperately need something authentic. Further Google search lead me to The Palm Tree Palace. The name alone passed the Chinese test. From the menu items, I knew I hit gold. Finally, a place that has the right variety of Chinese dishes. The lady who answered the phone was a bit abrupt (in a very Chinese way, but in person, she was very friendly and glad to see us). We were treated with smiles from all the staff when we arrived. We were so 'starved' for real Chinese food at this point that I could have ordered half a dozen dishes, but since we didn't really want to take anything home, we decided on half a Peking Duck, Chicken and Vegetables in White Source, and Fish Congee. Ahhh, can you imagine congee on the menu. And of course, we asked for no MSG and no garlic, not a problem! The cuisine here is Northern Chinese, the Peking Duck came with steamed buns instead of the Canton Style duck with duck skin served with pancakes, and duck meat served as lettuce wraps. The duck skin was very crispy and delicious and the meat was tender. The duck must have been a giant duck because there were more meat piece than I expected. The congee, again was Northern Chinese, not smooth congee like the Cantonese kind. But still delicious, with tender fish and slivers of ginger. The chicken dish was well stir fried, and I didn't even mind the bean sprouts in the vegetable mix. To pass the test as a really great Chinese food restaurant though, it has to score high marks on originality for second and third time visits where you'd try out other dishes. When we came again, we ordered Braised Tofu with Vegetables, and pot stickers and to our disappointment, the vegetables were of the same variety as the chicken vegetables dish, and sauces were the same except more constarch this time, and we didn't enjoy the tiny pieces of square-cut tofu as they were not freshly fried – not crunchy outside and tender inside. That means, if we had ordered both the chicken and tofu dishes for the same meal, we would be lacking a good variety of vegetables. Incidentally, we tend to choose Chinese food when we need lots of cooked vegetables, so, I would think one of the key advantages that all Chinese restaurants should make use of is use as many varieties of fresh vegetables as possible. At home, the famous Chinese restaurants would not get away with this – they have to use different vegetables for different dishes or they would lose all their Chinese customers!“
“Shoutout to Frances Morris, greatest server in town! She was extremely friendly, she made me feel at home, it's like she's known me for years. On top of the best service ever, the food is amazing, it has the perfect bite of crisp, and just the right amount of sauce without being overbearing. I highly recommend China Bistro! 5 stars all around, we'll definitely be back“
“First time trying this spot, we wanted something quick, found this place on Yelp, it wasn't to far from the house. Establishment is located in a shopping plaza next to Sears store. Walking in, there was few people sitting and eating, I was able to walk up and order. I got a plate with 3 opting , beef and broccoli, organelle chicken, and chicken and broccoli with any corn glazed with teriyaki sauce. The portions is plenty, you can feed two adults for sure. The food was good no compliments , I would try them again and the prices wasn't bad at all I think it was $12 something.“
