These kind people make such excellent, authentic Mexican street food that I am speechless, and I just want to dance! The food looked so good that we completely forgot to take a photo, and everything was so delicious that I only remembered it when we had almost finished eating.

But I think with the fantastic sight of the hanging chorizo sausages, you can imagine how great the plate looks!

“They have cute macaroons and large cookies as well as ice cream of you wanted cookie sandwich. The chocolate chip cookie was just right. Not too gooey. The price is just slightly above average but considering the style of macaroons, its would be justified. The artful details on the cookie would be worth with if it was a little bit larger. The attendant was helpful when I asked for ingredients on the cookies due to my food allergies. He was pleasant. “What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“My husband and I had Little Tokyo Taiyaki at are wedding as a dessert vendor during our reception and they were such a big hit with our guests! Communicating with them was extremely easy and they even were generous enough to let us come by their shop for a tasting! We ended up selecting the red bean, custard, and sweet potato fillings! On the wedding day, they came early to set up, provided enough taiyaki for guests to have several to eat there AND to take home as well, and even visited our venue beforehand to make sure they had the right outlets for what they needed so we were so impressed by their attention to detail. So many of our guests told us it was one of the highlights of the wedding and that the taiyaki themselves tasted amazing and fresh. We can't thank Ken and Kaylee enough for going above and on our wedding day and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding and looking for a unique dessert option!“

“Tamales Naborina is truly a hidden gem a street vendor that has been a staple in Watts for years. It’s the kind of place that’s known by locals, and while it’s somewhat of a well-kept secret, I believe everyone deserves to experience their incredible tamales!

**Location:** You can usually find the bright yellow food truck at the corner of 105th and Wilmington Avenue.

**Service:** The service is impressively quick, especially given the number of customers they serve in the morning. You'll be in and out before you know it!

**Parking:** Keep in mind that parking is limited to street parking, so be prepared to search for a spot and take a short walk to the truck.

**Food:** The tamales here are as authentic as it gets! They use traditional masa with lard and offer a variety of fillings, including red chicken, green chicken, red pork, and cheese tamales. I always opt for their cheese tamales, as they truly do not skimp on the cheese-to-masa ratio, make sure you ask for extra napkins to absorb the grease from the tamales. Don’t forget to grab their green salsa topped with onion and cilantro—it’s a must-have accompaniment and their champurrado is delicious!

On weekends, they also offer banana leaf-wrapped tamales and corn tamales, also known as Uchepos—if you know, you know!

“626 was a pretty fun experience overall. The planning was pretty good, as the food, games, shops, and entertainment were all separated from each other, so it was pretty easy to walk around and experience everything 626 had to offer. The carnival games were actually pretty fun to play, which was a big plus. The squid stick was definitely the highlight of the food for me, as it was worth the long wait to get it.

The only bad things was the unpredictability of the quality of almost every shop. Some of the food was pretty good, some not worth the money. The lobster bread I got was not only expensive, but it was small and not good. There were also a lot of shops that were kind of repetitive, as Labubus was everywhere. If you go next time, go with a bunch of people, look up some food recommendations before waiting in line, and just enjoy!“

“Omg, hands down the best tacos in the 626. And trust me, I’ve had my fair share from TJ Tacos to Tacos El Gordo in San Diego and even Taco El Franc. This spot is legit. The line every night says it all.

This time, I ordered the baked potato with cheese and lengua (tongue). Absolute perfection. They serve it with handmade corn tortillas that take everything to another level.
