“I never leave reviews but something has come over me. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the neighborhood in a while. It had a very calm and inviting atmosphere, while the staff was right on point the whole time. We ordered two pizzas and both were amazing!! “I would describe De La Nonna as an elevated pizza restaurant. As with most pizza joints, they serve up beer, salad and pizza, but this not your standard fare.

Start off with a craft beer, wine, or a fancy cocktail (or mocktail). Lots of choices to be had.

For starters, we ordered the market salad which had a fantastically light tangerine(?) dressing. The dressing on the ceaser salad was a bit heavy, but it was still tasty.

The eggplant caponata appeared to have been lightly fried and coated in a sweet and savory sauce. Very good.

As for the pizzas, all were insanely good. Each was like a pillowy soft deep dish pizza and they all came with the best crispy edges.

IMO the roasted mushroom pizza was the best — and I'm not a fan of mushrooms.

Prices are a bit higher than you would find at a typical pizza place, but again, these are not your typical pizzas. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere, chill.

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I had the Maséhati pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. The ingredients were so fresh, and the flavors were incredible. The warm aroma of basil pesto paired perfectly with the savory and flavorful prosciutto topping. The ricotta cheese was soft, creamy, and just downright delicious. “We love the ambience at gra. And I’m so happy to see more restaurants coming into the many vacant storefronts in this neighborhood. Gra has an incredible vibe. Wonderful service and unbelievably great music. We do wish for two things though. We love traditional full-bodied reds by the glass. They are hard to come by. We also love fresh vegetables, and as much as we love the fermented veggies we’d love to mix it up with more variety. Looking forward to becoming loyal, patrons and exploring this restaurant more.“

“My family and I are not the biggest fan of pizza. However we decided to order some pizza, but from a place we've never tried. Pizza Cafe LA came up on google as one of the closest places with quite good reviews, so I decided to try and ordered to pick up. (My orders were ready on time!)

I ordered two large pizzas with chicken wings.
Pizzas were very nice. All of us enjoyed every slice of it.
AND chicken wings! Honey BBQ and buffalo flavors. They were so crispy and the best of all, I LOVED the ranch? they gave to us. I don't think I ever enjoyed the dipping sauce that much in my life.

“Pizza by Georgios may not catch your eye from the outside, as the décor is a bit outdated, but don’t let that fool you. The true highlight here is the pizza and their delicious cheesesteak sandwiches , which is above average and well worth a visit. The crust is perfectly crispy, the toppings are generous, and the flavors come together beautifully. It’s clear they take pride in their ingredients and preparation.

While the service is standard, efficient but nothing fancy. However the quality of the food makes up for it. If you’re looking for great pizza without the frills, this spot absolutely deserves 5 stars.

“After seeing this on Grub with Greg, I decided to try it out since it was close to my brother's house. I ordered some pastrami guys and a chili cheese pastrami pizza. The fries were good but I thought it would have done chili as well but I was wrong. Wish it did have chili tho. The pizza was pretty good. I enjoyed it. “The Supreme Margarita is really good, but I wouldn’t recommend the regular one—the mozzarella on it is bland and rubbery. The dough is thin and crispy, just as it should be. The Basque cake is nothing special and doesn’t look like the pictures on the menu. Self service, took a while to order at the counter.“

“I probably had Pizzanista three times a week during 2018 at their DTLA location and just found this location tucked away in San Marino. It was packed! Their vegan pepperoni was as great as I remember, I love their Jesus meets seitan, and occasionally enjoy their Mac n cheese pizza (it’s waaaaaay too heavy to eat more than one + only available on Sundays). This location had a large merch section that I wish was smaller so more seating would be accommodated inside. Soft serve machine was a bit runny but also not vegan so didn’t have that. Garlic knots are great and looking forward to trying their Sicilian slices they didn’t have when I would go often.

“The best vegan pizza, still. They have an amazing vegan ranch that is better than the real thing. It has dill and it's by far the best in the west. Pizza slices are large sodas are healthy type. Beers. Parking is tight. Seating is harder for anything large. Go ahead and get the ranch on the side for sure.

“We first found Big Al's Pizzeria on IG. All of their pizzas caught our eye because of the unique flavors that they serve. We know that often times when you see something on IG and go experience a place in person it may not be as expected. That was NOT the case with Big Al's Pizzeria. WOW!! Can't even tell you how much they exceeded our expectations when it came to the flavors and textures that they deliver. You can tell that they use High Quality, Fresh Ingredients and take pride in their creations, especially with everything being homemade!! I know a lot of people say that it takes a while to receive their pizza but we can tell you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT AND CALORIES!! The combinations on their pizzas are next level and so fun and unique! The pizza dough has the perfect fluffiness, chewy texture and flavor. The wings WOW! Definitely in our top 5 of favorites! So crispy and flavorful! OOh plus the Brisket Sandwich and the bread they use... ufffff!!! Don't forget about Dessert! Even if you fill up on pizza you better at least take a slice home with you because IT IS WORTH IT!! They are large, creamy, flavorful and just AMAZEBALLS! We got the Tiramisu and it was NEXT LEVEL! Everything is OUT OF THIS WORLD and we can't recommend them enough!“
