“Sorry, no photos. This place is great! I don't know how many times I've driven past. It will be a regular stop now. This is a stand alone building that may have been the location of a gas station. But the construction looks new and other than some vintage gas and oil signs included in the decor, you wouldn't know. The front has outside dining on a nice cement patio, which is covered. I ordered my usual burger with pickles and mustard only, onion rings, large chocolate malt and large Dr Pepper. They make a big deal of selecting how you want the pattie cooked, with images on a laminated sheet of each option. It wasn't crowded, so my food was prepared quickly. I could watch it being cooked, the grill and fryer are right there behind the counter. The burger was delicious, bun very fresh. Onion rings were done perfectly and almost tasted home made. The chocolate malt (the main attraction for me) was amazing and HUUUUGE! 32 ounces of sublime flavor. Plenty of malt and chocolate. Not too sweet. I could not finish it. If you are hungry and happen to be passing the signs for Corning, CA, take the exit and enjoy a wonderful example of a 1950's style burger joint that does it right.“
“This place is adorable! The food was delicious! I had the Concha French Toast, amazing! I wouldn’t have ever thought to make French toast out of conchitas. The employees and owners were extremely friendly and down to earth. If you are ever in Corning pay Chata’s a visit you will not regret it!“

“I started off with a hot cup of coffee and it had very good flavor and was fresh, I really would assume that being a mile off the highway most travelers would not stop here. Take time to come to this place, it's great! The waitress is humming a song while she is working which tells me slot about the working conditions here. I ordered the Denver omelet with crispy hash browns and an English muffin, This was a great choice, the flavor was spot on and after 5 or 6 sips of coffee , it was being refilled. The customer service was above and beyond. At the table there was a good selection of jelly and a good selection of hot sauce, yum! I would recommend this spot for sure and I'll be back !“
“By the time we travel to California, my family and I have to stop at the Olive Pit. They have amazing milkshakes, wonderful products, including California oils, and decent wine selection. Typically their staff is wonderful but this recent trip was ruined by edgy and cranky younger cashiers.“
