“The best place to try Bosnian food! I can’t pick one favorite, from cevapi to pizza to pita , this food taste like homemade. All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. He took our order, repeated it back to us to make sure it was correct, upon delivering the food he brought our more forks and knives, then cleared away our plates at the end. Service was amazing, and the food was too. We got the lunatic sampler plater; the falafel was hot and tasty, the stuffed grapes leaves yummy and the hummus with pita also tasty. The salad had a nice herb dressing.“

I struggled to find in Southern California a really authentic kabob place that feels like home kabob until I found this restaurant. Literally, I eat ant this restaurant every day. Not to mention, the place is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I actually lived in several States; I have been in Southern California for three years; and I am so glad that I finally managed to find this restaurant. We tried the tacos our super sweet waitress recommended, and they were actually really good, super crispy and different from anything I’ve had before.
I got the mushroom ravioli, and it just wasn’t it… the pasta was thick and you couldn’t taste the mushrooms at all. My husband ordered a burger and said it was fine, but honestly, he thinks Burger King tastes better.
The woman who took care of us was amazing super friendly, warm, and really attentive. I’m giving it 4 stars just because of the staff.“

“Fantastic Mediterranean food!! I had the gyro and my friend had the chicken kabobs. Both were amazing but I gotta say, hands down, the best gyro I ever had. It was huge and I actually ate it all! Service was amazing, everyone was so nice and we actually had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was warm and welcoming as well. The baklava ice cream is a MUST TRY!

PS they have an enclosed patio which was perfect for friend's kids to play while we enjoyed our meal. Huge plus!“

“This is the find of the decade! Virtually hidden on a tiny street adjacent to the Coast Highway, the eclectic, artistic interior is as welcoming as the attentive and super friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining options, comfy furniture, a hip buzzy adjacent bar lets you know immediately you are in for a uniquely Newport Beach experience that you won’t want to leave. But all of this is nothing compared to the cuisine. The wide variety of ostensibly Middle Eastern menu items are comprehensive to meet virtually any dietary needs from vegan to Ketovore, but the competency across the board is astounding!! Lentil soup, yellow veggie curry, kabob, steak Diane - everything shines on its own merit. I planned to have one of the divine sounding desserts but alas, the portions were so generous that we had to take a rain check. Here’s hoping for a downpour!“

Usually the salad that comes with these combos is just ehhh but I actually liked this one. It came with a spicy, cilantro-ey dressing that was delicious. I ended up pouring over my rice as well.
