We got the black nitro cold brew and the honey lavender and both were delicious! Also got a donut and it was also great. The barista was so friendly! “We had awesome service by Dern! He was polite, friendly and outgoing. (Killer now tie too!) He made our experience so fun! I even witnessed his care for his customers as I watched him ensure an elderly man did not fall walking to the bathroom. Also, he seemed to interact positively with his teammates too. Thanks Dern! The facility and restrooms were clean. It was like stepping back in time. There are a lot of nostalgic things to take in. My husband and I split a classic hamburger, crinkle fries and a strawberry malt. All of it was delicious. My husband said, “if we lived here, I’d be a regular.”“

“A great little French “bistro”. The menu is varied enough for most. I had the curry chicken salad which was perfectly flavored. Portion size was generous. My husband had a bacon panino with a suave of fresh fruit. The fruit was really fresh and ripe. We couldn’t resist dessert - they have a large display of very delectable desserts. The coffee was perfect - strong without any bitterness. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive and offered me coffee to go. I highly recommend this little gem. While we didn’t drink, the table next to us ordered several bottles of wine.“

“This restaurant has a very fancy atmosphere that may drive you away but don't! We decided to check this place out as we are fans of Thai cuisine and Swadee didn't let us down! This space is quite welcoming and comfortable, do keep in mind that reservations are preferable, but they still took us in without one. The staff members consistently demonstrated a high level of attentiveness and professionalism in their interactions with us. As for the menu it offers a diverse range of options, catering to various tastes, preferences and not as expensive as one would think. I would recommend visiting this establishment if you are looking for somewhere new.“

We ordered two EPIC hot lobster rolls (Connecticut style, warm with butter) and although they were delicious, for the EPIC PRICE OF $39 PER ROLL, it was very skimpy compared to what you get for that price in New England. They stack it high in the middle and don’t fill the bun to the ends to make it look super full. It’s not. The New England clam chowder was great though.“

“Wonder bistro with the best selection of breakfast/brunch and lunch entrees. Ordered the NY steak chilaquiles and the Denver omelet. Chilaquiles was delicious. The medium steak with over medium eggs made the dish very tasty. My wife loved the Denver omelet and mimosa. Fluffy eggs wrapped around fresh vegetables. The hash browns had a good balance of crunch and soft potato center. The blackberry sangria mimosa was very tasty. The place is a nice start when visiting Coronado.“

“It was my first time here, and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for mini delicious donuts (the flavors are amazing) and come in a brown bag like 90s lunch?. The burritos are no slouch either. It was thicker than uncut salami, and the flavor was on point. Burritos ? & Donuts ? who would have thunk it... Dinky did!!!!!!!“

Team Barbie and I rolled in Coronado's sole dive bar around 9:30am on Thursday, July 4th. A little preparty before marching in the famous Coronado 4th of July Parade. Interior is from the 1980s or 70s...but still clean, dark, faded red carpet, vintage wood panel walls, beer decor, a single pool table in the back, an older, friendly and gentlemanly bartender, and a clientele that was 90% men at this early hour.

Three craft lager beers and a generous mimosa was $29, which I thought was very reasonable in an expensive, ritzy, and yuppy filled city like Coronado.“

“The people are awesome and friendly. You are always greeted with a smile and made to feel they are really glad you’re there. The store is clean and the food is excellent. The selection of alcohol, wine and beers is some of the I’ve seen. Good job!“

“Went specifically for the lobster pot pie tasting event. Started with a Mai Tai which was the best I'd had in a long time. The pot pie was large, filled with good sized pieces of lobster and had a very flaky crust. Had creme brulee for dessert which was superb - very creamy with a perfectly crackled caramel top. Ashley, our server, was attentive, but didn't hover. All drinks and courses were brought to the table in a very timely fashion. It was very quiet for a holiday evening and the decor had been changed since our last time there and we found it to be very stark.“

“We all deserve a second chance and II Fornaio is not exempt. I was told to try this place for a nice meal. My family visited this establishment a few weeks back. Unfortunately, we had one of the worst experiences ever. Lack of attentiveness, service, taste, & dining experience. We left waiting to speak to a manager that never came as he was taking care of another matter and I didn't want to wait any longer. I got home and my wife insisted that I call to report our experience and give the manager a chance to do something about it. I spoke with Assistant General Manager Antonio Ramirez who apologized and said he would investigate and call me the following morning. Needless to say he didn't return the call for a week later. I honestly thought he forgot. Mr Ramirez called and once again apologize and offered to pay for our meal on the next visit. He was genuinely concerned about the companies reputation and making up for a poor experience. I returned the following week with a complete different situation. Mr Ramirez introduced himself, followed the hostess to our seat, took the unused glasses and offered to get our drinks. The busser, he could easily pass for Santa Claus, was johnny on the spot with water, tea and refills. Our waitress, Susan was what all should aspire to as far as a quality food server. Susan was suggestive of everything, we chose two of her recommendations and were not unhappy. Between Mr. Ramirez, Susan and Santa Claus (sorry never got the busser's name), my wife and I had the best dining experience that turned our hearts to highly recommend II Fornaio as the place to frequent for that wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return to dine after this time. Thank you for changing our hearts to believe in you. It's time to make Assistant General Manager Antonio Ramirez General Manager with his attitude, demeaner, and loyalty to the company and the return of a good customer experience. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you.“
