“I’ve been looking for Indian cuisine in the Costa Mesa area and I just haven’t found one I was truly happy with, until now!!! Sooo good! I’m annoyed it took me this many years living in the area to order takeout from here. It was hot, fresh, perfect spice level for us on medium, and the guys at the counter were friendly. We ordered garlic naan, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala…. I know those are the “basic” options for Indian food but too many places just don’t seem to nail it, Andaaz nailed it! Well done - we WILL be back!“

“This was my go to Indian food restaurant in Huntington Beach before being diagnosed with Celiac’s and I was so excited to meet the owner Sal and learn that he and the entire staff are so knowledgeable about the disease and gluten free kitchen practices. Sal’s mom has food allergies and so he has maintained his kitchen with strict gluten free dishes and separate areas for food prep. There are many options on the menu since most Indian food is naturally gluten free. My favorite has always been the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lama Vindaloo, but since the staff always brings out little samples of stuff I now love the Lentil Soup! And testing with my Nima Gluten Detector always shows NO Gluten Detected and I'm good to eat without fear...but I already knew that. Thanks you guys!!! Love love love this place!!!“

“Their 2 combo meal was a delightful experience. The portion size is generous and any additional curry comes at a reasonable $1 extra. It’s an excellent spot for lunch in the Santa Ana neighborhood. Parking can be challenging during peak hours. One unique feature I have noticed in this Indian restaurant is the roasted onions.“

“Absolutely amazing! I got the combo kebab plate with chapli & lamb. The chapli was so amazing. The lamb was also perfectly cooked which is hard to come by. Usually the salad that comes with these combos is just ehhh but I actually liked this one. It came with a spicy, cilantro-ey dressing that was delicious. I ended up pouring over my rice as well. Would recommend.“

“A solid option for buffet style Indian food. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in OC but it is decently priced and they have a fair amount of variety and dishes to choose from. What stood out to me most was the paneer curry and the tikka masala. Was not the biggest fan of the goat dish or the chili chicken. I liked the atmosphere in here though. Very clean and they had the Bollywood music on in the background which really helps set the mood lol.“

“Super cute donut shop Donuts were fresh and amazing I got the cake Donuts one is the cinnamon sugar and one is cinnamon crumb they are amazing it was under $4 after tax for the two Donuts well worth it I would say just for the quality very nice lady working inside I'm assuming she was the owner I come in this area often for deliveries I will definitely be back wanted to try the cinnamon roll cream cheese muffin among a few other things I saw also to know she was serving fresh coffee yum“

“my fellow pregnant mama and I were craving Indian food and were delighted to find Annapoorna super close by. and they have an amazing lunch special, all you can eat buffet for $17/pp! you rarely find deals like this these days!

their buffet was STOCKED too, with salad and fresh fruit (watermelon), fresh crispy pakora and samosa, plain rice, biryani, tandoori chicken, all your sauces and raita, and at least 10 different curries including chicken tikka masala, goat curry, veggie korma, saag paneer, and so many more that I wish I could remember. they also have mango pudding and a delicious rice pudding and gulab jamun. they bring over baskets of fresh, hot garlicky naan that’s perfect crispy on the corners and soft and pillowing throughout, perfect for dragging through their delectable sauces. their curries were not too spicy (good for a pregnant palate!) but rich in flavor and full of delicious veggies and high quality meat. this was such a winner!! definitely adding this one to the regular roster.“

“I would strongly disagree with any negative reviews here - we catered from Vishnu Catering for our large Indian wedding the entire weekend and it was the best food we and many of our guests have ever had at a wedding! Ram was kind, helpful, professional, and incredibly reliable as a vendor - we never had to worry about anything going wrong with catering and he was easily one of our favorite and best vendors of the whole process. The food and drink was phenomenal across all events. We are still getting comments from guests, Indian and non-Indian, about how amazing the food was. We are so grateful we got to work with Ram and his team and we would cater again for any event big or small in a heartbeat!“

“Amazing Food!
I am a local here first time visit.
I ordered pick up the #31 Chicken Malai - marinated chicken and yogurt and spices, cooked in a creamy coconut sauce, served with a small side of rice on the side. I choose mild. I also opted to add the garlic naan bread.
Great for those who want not a huge kick of spice but next time I will definitely order the medium to kick up the heat.
Will definitely be back!

“Reshmi and her crew did a catering in our backyard party recently. It was a unique experience to have a live Dosa station for our friends and families. Everyone enjoyed the food and it was fresh and tasty. There was plenty of varieties in Dosa to pick from, which was great. Specifically the S'more Dosa was a hit with the kids as well as adults.“

“One of the most sub standard experience! The food had all the same curry base, made from canned ingredients. The staff was unhelpful and did not care at all. The seating is narrow and cheap. The portion size of s horrible. The taste of the food is awe filling because it’s probably microwaved rather than cooked properly. Horrible experience. Stay away! There are better Indian restaurants.“

“So delicious! Where else can you get vegan tikka masala, butter tofu, saag tofu.. tell me, I wanna know! So hard to find. So pleased they offer so many vegan options beyond the normal chana, dal, bhindi, aloo we usually get. I missed having a creamy, rich tikka! The tofu butter masala was my favorite (at least I think I was that one - the darker orange one). Closest to a tikka one might have had before going vegan. Absolutely loved it. Called and confirmed everything on the "Indian Vegan Cafe" menu is 100% vegan. I bet you can also just go to Southern Spice and sit down and order it. I'll have to try someday. I did pickup after placing a GrubHub order - be warned, it seemed to take longer than the non vegan orders, wasn't ready quite when the app said it was. Not really a "ghost kitchen"... really just Southern Spice's vegan menu but separated into a different name for ordering. TLDR - highly recommend, especially if you're craving more creamy (but vegan!) Indian curries! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-08“
