“It’s not too often that I stop at a Michoacana store, but this location somehow always manages to serve everything with a positive and enthusiastic attitude everytime I stop by to buy something! Most stores usually have little to not much variety, but this location always has something in store for everyone! It has flavors for ice cream that other locations don’t seem to have. They always try to introduce something new and refreshing that anyone can and will enjoy! Whenever I have entered this store, they always have fresh corn for an esquite or fresh fruit for hot summer days. If you’re looking for something fresh and tasty to eat, while being served by enthusiastic employees, I HIGHLY recommend visiting this store! It’s a must!!“

“recommended to me — I wasn’t disappointed. There was a bit of a line when I arrived, but it moved quickly and the staff were helpful, even with all the hustle. The ordering process was super easy, and the space felt clean and welcoming.

The cookies themselves? Genuinely excellent. Big, warm, and packed with flavour — definitely lived up to the hype. I tried a couple of the weekly specials and would’ve gone back again if I’d had more time in Downey.

Nice stop if you’re travelling and want something sweet (or very American!). Great location too — easy to find and plenty of parking nearby, but we walked as hoteled in the local area“

“Okay. This place is no secret to Thai people in LA and all around the US. It's the must stop shop for your Thai dessert and no wonder it's so popular among people everywhere. They literally have all the traditional Thai desserts. I bring everyone visiting here and they get so excited because there's so many selection. I wish the store can be bigger because it gets so packed sometimes. The customer service is great. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable.

I know you can find Mango and sticky rice at many places but the one at Bhan Kanom Thai just hits the spots. The sticky rice is perfection here. Luk Chup is another favorite of mine and they super cute almost too cute to eat but it's too delicious to pass up. It's made of mung bean shape like fruits and dip in gelatin. Coconut lover try the coconut jelly. From their fresh bakery and Thai snacks and candy you'll never leave there with one thing because you want everything but for sure you'll leave with a happy belly. Must try!“

“I love how beautiful everything is presented, truly works of art! Always fresh and delicious, so go early because they sell out quickly! Two versions of the Sakura mochi (not pictured because I forgot) are elegant and give you options for the traditional anko or the shiroan. You can count on polite, prompt service with each visit. They are CASH only, which I usually forget. Please go and support this small business that has been a Gardena favorite for decades!“

“I absolutely love coming here for funnel cakes! My favorite is the Strawberry Sundae, with fresh strawberries and a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream on top—it is just heavenly. The portions are large, so I usually share with friends since it is hard to finish alone. Next time, I am excited to try one of the chocolate options.

The staff is always kind, and the place is clean and well-kept, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Parking can be a little tricky at times, yet the amazing treats make it worth the small effort. “Cute dessert spot that feels reminiscent of classic HK/TW dessert shops. We came on a Saturday night and were seated right away—no wait. It’s largely a self-service experience (ordering straight from the menu and servers are basically just runners).

Prices are a little on the high side, but kudos to them for delivering dishes that actually look like the photos. Therefore, there are plenty of Instagram-worthy items for those looking for that! Good experience, but not necessarily a repeatable one.

(For taste, I do recommend the mango/grape dessert - though that’s not as unique as the other items).“

I had the dulce de leche first and it was amazing and the freddo expresso transported me back to Greece. Not everone gets it on point. Nothing looked fancy, but abundant options of both mochi and manju. If you’re not familiar, prolly simplest way to differentiate is mochi comes in chewy texture while manju is more soft bread-alike. The filling they offered varied from red bean, white bean, even black one! I got their Kinako Mochi filled with black bean and covered in soy bean powder. One bite and WOW IT WAS BOMB! So good and totally cured my craving for the ones I had in Japan. I could totally tell the quality was stellar and it’s fully stuffed with luscious filling making the price tag paid certainly worth.“

“This is a good choice when you want shave ice dessert the flavors are natural I’m allergic to a lot of colors and they don’t add any additives so if you were sensitive as I am, I has not reacted to anything that I have order there, which is very common with this desert. they had lots of colors this place doesn’t.“

“If you’re looking for a delicious matcha yuzu lemonade you have to try theirs. It’s not on the menu so you have to ask the baristas if they can make it. Whenever I go to coffee shops that have yuzu lemonade I always ask if they can add matcha to it. Anko’s is the best!!! Their matcha actually blends with the lemonade. It doesn’t taste weird and gritty. I would also absolutely recommend their taiyaki is also really nice and crispy and not too sweet!“

I tried the churros two days back to back couldn't get enough because it tasted so healthy. Not so sugary even tho it has strawberry syrup and lechera and all that surgery stuff. It was great. You can asd has fruits like Mango,strawberries,blueberries,banana to your churros and funnel cakes and ice cream as well all delicious . “We just tried this Bake & Che Vietnamese dessert place in Rosemead on Rosemead Blvd and River Ave. It's next to the Da Vien Coffee. This is a new structure, and the ambiance was comfortable with modern decor. We ordered G1 The Sampler (5 pcs, $7), Avocado Che ($8), and C1 House Special ($7). The five cakes sampler included palm sugar, pandan layers, mung bean, cassava, and taro. I especially like the taro and mung bean cakes, but I'm not a fan of the pandan because it has durian inside. Besides the cakes, I liked their drinks even more! The Avocado Che drink was so delicious and so fresh. It had a lot of ingredients inside. My hubby liked the House Special Che Dac Biet (C1) drink so much, but it had durian inside, so I did not drink it. We forgot to order their signature flan cheesecake, and we will definitely go back to try it next time. The service was friendly and speedy.“

“Not only adorable, but tasty too!!! I accidentally came across Sweet Box only because I wanted to walk off my lunch and the mall was an air conditioned place to do it. So I was wandering with no destination in mind and I come across the Sweet Box kiosk. So freaking cute!!! This place is NOT cheap and being that the macarons were so cute, I figured they only looked good but didn't hold much weight in the flavor department. I was wrong. I enjoy macarons on rare occasions because they are usually too sweet. However, Sweet Box did a great job with the balance of sweetness, chewiness, and presentation. I would definitely recommend this place to others. After bringing them home and trying them, I was thinking of who's bday was coming up so I could buy them some. Out of the dozen I bought, the Earl Grey was my favorite. The Strawberry was good as well as it had a real fruit flavor to it. Piece of advise. Don't let them sit in your car or in a warm area as the filling will melt. I learned the hard way. I still ate all of them though. The service was good but I did feel a little rushed. I didn't understand why being that there was no one in line but I did feel rushed. She wasn't rude but she kept looking over her shoulder like she had something else to get to.“

“We recently ordered two boba drinks from Bobuzz, including their signature “PMC” with boba and “The Dark White.” While the overall flavor of the drinks was comparable to other quality boba shops, the tapioca pearls (“boba”) were unfortunately undercooked, which detracted from the experience. Additionally, offering customers the option to customize the sweetness level would be a welcome improvement. While there is potential, the overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Personally, it wouldn’t be my first choice for a dessert stop after a pleasant meal, at least not for now.“

“Beard Papa’s in Cerritos is hands down one of my favorite dessert spots. After years of always driving out to the one in Gardena and finding out there is a Cerritos location local to me I had to stop on by and it did NOT disappoint. The cream puff was made fresh to order, so the shell was perfectly light with a pleasant crunch, with different fillings you can choose from and if you're a fan of lighter cream you can definitely ask for 1 pump instead!

They also had a great selection of other flavors, which made it hard to choose. The classic vanilla custard is always a safe go-to—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The chocolate custard was deep and not overly sweet, and the matcha had a nice earthy flavor that wasn’t bitter at all. I also love that you can choose different shells, like the original, or chocolate flavors and other seasonal flavors (Our personal favorite is the Strawberry and the Monster Hunter Wilds Cola flavor collab!)

The staff was friendly and efficient, even with a line, and the store was clean and well organized. You can tell they take pride in making everything fresh because nothing tasted soggy or rushed. Beard Papa’s does an awesome job with seasonal flavors and collabs, and the Cerritos location consistently delivers, it really drives home the same great flavor as the same Beard Papa's back in Japan!

If you’re a dessert fan or just want something different, this place is 100% worth stopping by. Whether you're there to get a set for yourself or a pack of 6 to share, it's a great sweet treat gift to bring to parties! I’ll definitely be back for future collabs and flavors.“
