“OK, it’s cookies, not pastries… but oh, my, oh, my!! Delicious, imaginative cookies. We went in for 2, came out with a dozen (+ 1 for a baker’s dozen‼️).“

“When I think of Melo Melo, I think of a homey type of feeling of comfort. Not only are their desserts both delicious and the right amount of sweetness, it reminds me of my mom and grandma making Vietnamese desserts called Che where some have coconut milk and it just gives it the right touch of creaminess to the dessert. You can feel the love that was put in with each bite. For Melo Melo, even though it’s not che, I still get that same nostalgic feeling and my heart is full (and stomach too). They have a wide range of flavors, from different fruits, to jelly, to childhood favorites like ovaltine or oreo mixed with their signature coconut jelly, and more! They just came out with a Sunset Series, the Sunset Mango Coconut, Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut, and the Sunset Durian Coconut. I also grabbed a jar of Matcha Coconut to go. I love the fact that the desserts aren’t overly sweet and get the sweetness from the fruit or mix-in. The soothing coconut cream jelly/pudding consistency makes it a dream to slurp or in my case, inhale the entire thing. Also just upon opening the jar I have instant joy from seeing it jiggle jiggle! The Sunset Mango Coconut reminds me if a mango sticky rice dessert had a baby with coconut pudding. Genius! The Sunset Sticky Rice Coconut reminds me of the glutinous purple rice vietnamese che, with the coconut cream on top. Mmmm! The Sunset Durian Coconut.. OMG.. if you are a durian lover… yes! And yes!!! For you haters out there.. It is the king of all fruit.. Only kings and queens can handle it! Jk! It tastes fresh and not rubbery as if it was frozen and thawed. The durian was creamy and custardy, and then adding another layer of texture coming from the sticky rice, and POW some velvety coconut jelly to put it all together. My absolute fave! The matcha coconut was delicious and not too strong in matcha flavor. I’ve had where matcha was so overbearing and bitter that it was difficult to enjoy. Not this one! This one was super smooth and slurpilicious! Right amount of matcha, right amount of coconut where it doesn’t overpower the green tea, great texture and enjoyable! Yes I devoured that! Basically I inhaled everything because the desserts were light and not heavy! I can totally eat this for days!!! So whoever said they don’t have room for dessert.. that’s a lie because there is room for Melo Melo!“

“I came here the other day to see what all the hype was about regarding the fruit pastries everyone has been talking about in Los Angeles. I visited this local spot on Olympic Boulevard, and I was definitely impressed.

The shop was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, I arrived later in the day, so it seemed like they were starting to run low on some of their inventory. Even so, I was able to pick up a few items, including three mango pastries, which I absolutely loved. I also grabbed a couple of other treats for my partner who was with me.

To top it off, they even included a few complimentary items, which was a very nice gesture and greatly appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience and was thankful for the opportunity to visit and review this location.

If you're looking for delicious fruit pastries and a friendly local business to support, I highly recommend stopping by. This is definitely a spot worth checking out.“

“My husband and I went to Thailand in 2019 where I first got to try Roti Sai Mai. It is my FAVORITE thing I have EVER eaten. We come back to the states, and I can't figure out how to get it, how to make it...I can pretty much make anything we've eaten if I can find the ingredients and recipe. NO LUCK. I've even had a friend who was visiting Thailand, bring me some back in 2021. My husband surprised me with 3 bags of roti sai mai from this shop and it is EXACTLY the same we had in Thailand. “I was introduced to La Michoacana about a year ago and I’ve been going back ever since. I’m always greeted with a smile and the selection is amazing. My favorite is the Mangoneada. This place always has parking, is clean and there’s always a table to sit and enjoy.“

“I was absolutely thrilled to discover several hidden secrets in LA that serve pastries without being overly sweet! Their cream puffs strike the perfect balance of sweetness and are incredibly delicious. I accidentally ended up ordering the largest ones—a combo of chocolate and vanilla cream. “Shoutout to Sergio, he was manning the whole store on a Saturday evening, all by himself and had an excellent attitude and disposition towards customer service. I used to go to the UCI location when I lived in OC, and this location is just as great as that one. The ice cream is excellent, the cookies are warm and have the right amount of chewiness, and the portions are generous. One of my favorite treats to get. If you ordere after 10pm, through the app, Sergio told me that you can just message them, and they will bring your order to one of the 4 gates (this location is inside USC Village, which closes at 10pm) so you can receive your order regardless. Ambiance was great too. The whole store looked pristine and well kept. 10/10“

“OMG I love this!!!!!! I only had the Hello Kitty Strawberry Green Iced Tea, but my dad got a hot chocolate! I heard the prices were high, but both the iced tea and hot chocolate were $15 together, which is lower than one drink in my hometown!!!!!! I also love the Sanrio Smile Shop right next to it, but the prices on the merch in there were pretty high, if you go there I recommend the hello kitty iced tea (it costs less then most boba drinks *at least at my hometown* and is way more fancy with sugar rims and mint leaves! And to get a engraved bracelet at the shop connected to it) Btw this is Christy’s son, not her, okay!“
