Shanghai Family Restaurant serves traditional Shanghainese dishes with mixed results. The pan-fried bun is a highlight, with lots of soup inside and a crispy bottom. The veggie rice also has a crispy crust, although flavor-wise it's not the best. However, the seaweed fried fish fillet was a letdown, possibly due to not-so-fresh fish. The decor is dated and cleanliness could be improved. Service is inconsistent, and more dishes need to be tried to form a verdict.
