“I've been at Pho Queen half a dozen times. I've had the pho, egg noodle soup, banh mi, rice plates, cha gio, and coffee. I think it's among the top 3 Vietnamese restaurants in the East Bay. The best in the Tri-Valley by a big margin. The menu is simple, but very delicious. The owner and cook (named Thuy, I think) is a very sweet and hard working woman. The servers I've experienced have been attentive and eager to please, though not super polished. (The Vietnamese are not known for polished service. My wife and I joke that the lack of refinement is a good sign of authenticity.) I've seen Vietnamese restaurants in the Tri-Valley come and go in the pass 25 years, and I hope this one makes it.“

“I cannot say enough good things about Lettuce in Walnut Creek. Every single dish we have tried has been absolutely fabulous and I do not use that word lightly. The flavors are fresh and vibrant, the ingredients are clearly high quality, and you can tell the team puts real love into what they do. Whether you are going for one of their signature salads, grain bowls, or something seasonal, it always hits that perfect balance of healthy and satisfying. It is one of the few places where eating clean does not feel like you are sacrificing taste. In fact, it is the opposite. You will leave feeling nourished and spoiled. “Oh my! This place has become one of my favorite places to go to for some good comfort food, like Chili. The food is yummy, tasty and hearty and really hits the spot for a little bit of warmth when it's chilly and cold outside.

It's pretty affordable for what's served, if I could price it out myself, it would be $1 - $1.50 less for the soups, but I don't know their overhead expenses so what would I know?!

The seating area is fine, plenty of booths, tables and high top tables with enough table top and seats to fit 6 people at each table and parking is easy peasy, since the deli is part of a small shopping center.

The owners are always friendly and happy to serve their customers, and they're patient too. It just makes the experience that much better. I can owe this restaurant finding to my older brother Bruce, who met up with my dad one day for lunch.

“I brought my parents to eat here. My dad loves pho! Their service was great. The food arrived quickly. The food was delicious. We had grilled pork Vietnamese sandwiches, grilled pork vermicelli bowl, spring rolls, and BBQ pork and wonton pho. (can you tell we love grilled pork?) the pork was delicious! The sandwiches were not dry. We completely enjoyed our meal and had a very nice time together. I would highly recommend this place for both dining in and takeout.“

“When i walked in Heather greeted us with a great smile. Her vibe put me and my girlfriend in a great mood. My girlfriend got the chicken bulgogi and i got the beef. It was sooooooo good. The cabage salad had a delicous dressing and the macaronia salad rice and beef was great. It was very clean and the news and music videos on the tvs were nice. Music was chill. “I'm currently getting over a cold and needed some hot soup for lunch. I've driven past this place for the past year but never made the effort to come. I decided to change that today. The outside can be a little easy to miss as it's tucked away in an open strip mall, but parking is ample.

I was immediately seated as it was really packed for the lunch hour. The menu isn't huge on variety but in a good way. Too many restaurants try to pack too many items in, but this restaurant knows its identity and what they're good at. They stick to the classic Vietnamese dishes with little to no frills. I ended up with a bowl of beef pho with the rib bone. The food came out surprisingly quick which was excellent for those on a time crunch. The soup was flavorful and hot. They give you a good amount of meat and noodles. Side note - a lot of other pho places have been skimping on noodles lately.

Overall I was really impressed with the level of service and food. I would definitely be back to try other dishes. I was suggested to try the grilled chicken rice dish and the bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup). The decor is also really cute and trendy with a really laid back vibe. I definitely recommend it to anyone in the area for some good classic Vietnamese food.“

We do always remove the fries in the gyros bc they're just a filler IMHO & I think they take away from the rest of the flavor. Better to add some cucumbers & olives instead. I did get an extra steak skewer on the side this time for my Dad & he was disappointed as it was VERY dry, that's why only 4 stars.“

The banchan was tasty and flavorful, the beef brisket soup is great, the ddukbokgi has a good flavor, the bibimbap has high-quality ingredients, etc. The staff are working hard and more people should come here. My family and I have been here multiple times. The staff were nice enough to take us in 20 minutes before they closed.“
