“We love Del Mar and this is our go to restaurant. You don't need reservations and they have a nice outdoor atmosphere. The service is very friendly. The food is good and well priced. I consider this restaurant a great alternative to the expensive Californian restaurants as well as the less expensive pizza and Mexican places in town. I also have taken business lunch meetings here as the lunch menu is very reasonable. Lots of parking around if you head down 11 or 12 Ave toward the water.“

“A Delicious Taste of Persia on WheelsJust had a fantastic lunch at Namino, a Persian food truck. The food was absolutely delicious! I went for the Shirazi Ash, and it was perfect. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something flavorful and satisfying.On top of the amazing food, the staff at Namino were incredibly friendly. “This place is near and dear to my heart. I first went here as a 20 year old UCSD student in the late 90s and continued to eat here regularly until leaving San Diego 3 years ago. Whenever I'm back in San Diego it will be one of the first places I visit.It simply is the best kebabs I've had in my life. I say this as someone who lived in NYC and has traveled around the world a fair bit. Sure, you have to put in an order early during the lunch rush, but there is a reason for it.“

“Went here for Persian new year, a.k.a. Nowruz, to help mend the distance from my family. Being a vegan, I was reluctant to go to a Persian restaurant. But boy was I proven wrong. They had so many options for us!We had delicious impossible koobideh kebab with rice, gheymeh on tahdig, dolmeh, salad shirazi and kashkeh bademjoon (without yogurt). So many options, all so delicious!And the service was top-notch. I wish I would’ve asked the owner’s name; he was a delightful human being with absolute passion and love for his restaurant. “We have ordered several times for delivery. Everything we have tried has been great. However every time we order the side salad that comes with entrees is never included. It is so frustrating. They always credit us money for the oversight but it doesn’t satisfy the palate when you wants some greens to complement your entree.“

“I somehow forgot to take a pic before I ate so I will do my best to describe the delectable meal I ate at Marketplace today. I got the salmon crispy bowl with herbed rice. This included an edible bowl made out of crispy lavash bread that was layered with herb rice, lettuce, shirazi salad, babaganoush (garlicky eggplant dip) and salmon. First of all, the salmon was cooked to perfection. So tender and flavorful. The babaganoush was delish, not to mention the herbed rice. It's fragrant long grain basmati rice cooked with a variety of fresh green herbs. The portions are super generous and the service is five star--especially for a place that has no tables inside! It's almost a self serve type of restaurant but the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We dined on the outdoor patio (the only place you can sit). There were plenty of tables with umbrellas which were great to shade the sun. Note you have to ask for a key if you need to use the restroom. Also, there are limited parking spaces so wear comfy shoes as you might have to walk a few blocks. Finally, there's a great liquor store in the same strip where you can get lotto tickets :)“

Food is always fresh and healthy every time we come, my favorites have been either the kebabs or the lamb shank. Such a peaceful place to dine and have fresh quality food.“

Delicious food: The food is consistently very good, Whether you want kebabs, mediterranean dishes, pizza's or burgers, they've got you covered. 2. Reasonable prices. 3. Indoor and outdoor seating. “Grilled shrimp bowl with herb rice was excellent. Fresh ingredients and robust flavors. Portions were normal sized and I got enough to make me happy and full. There is some seating inside (4 tables), but also a nice courtyard outside for additional seating. Friendly and courteous service.“

Javid is one of the kindest, most welcoming, and extremely professsional owner I have ever got a pleasure to work with. Our sons event that took place in early November was a success. starting from the arragnements of the place, to delicious appetizers, leading to the main course, to all the way desserts and fruits. Javid and his team did an exceptionally well job in making our event a memorable one. Both servers that were assigned to us were the most amazing DUO you could have ever asked for. Knowing how much tea our people drink and how demanding our guests can be. EVERYTHING was taken care of very well without even asking all tasks were performed simultaneously.
