“I went to Annie's for the first time today and ordered the Mexicali sandwich and fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sandwich had just the right amount of spiciness to it with the chipotle sauce and jalapenos. The fries were amazing and crispy too. Everyone that works there was very attentive and super friendly. I live right around the corner and I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and mimosas. I told my husband it was a 10 out of 10.“

It's one of our favorite wineries to visit. We make yearly visits to the Placerville area, and there is never a time we do not stop at Lava Cap.
The views are spectacular & the wines are excellent. The staff are excellent and well-versed in wines & anything about the winery itself. Our host, Jeff, was a lot of fun to talk to and was very informative with paired foods for the multiple wine tastes that we sipped.
We ended up spending two and a half hours there on the deck and on the lower level picnic tables“

“This winery is one of the best! We visited for a wine tasting and the gentleman was so informative about the wines and how they are harvested, we couldn’t get enough of his knowledge! The wines, all six, that we selected on our own were excellent! We will probably join the club when we get home! Also, there is a picnic area that you can purchase a charcuterie board or cheese and crackers, spreads and dips to sit down and enjoy with your bottle of wine! It’s fantastic!“

Discovered them last year during the Nevada day, on our annual visit to Apple Hill.They always take good care of Nevada residents on Nevada day, when practically the entire city of Reno goes to California LOL!Make sure you check out Rucksack Winery which is also owned by Paul, across the street.“

“This is a hidden gem in Placerville. The precious Somm refer me to come here as he mentioned they have good reds here. The wines I tasted was good, but the thing was they have food here. I had the duck confit nachos and the spinach salad. Both dishes were surprisingly delicious for a winery kitchen. Beautiful tasting room but small. Outside patio and view of the lake is amazing. Stacey was personable and knowledgeable. She also invited me back for future events. Definitely a good stop for tasting and eating if visiting Placerville.

“my wife & I when there after dark it was little chilly outside side they ask if we like to sit outside or inside my wife said we like to sit inside after 5 minutes waiting for a table the waitress came got us set us a table that sets 6 people the only one available at that time after about 5 minutes setting the waitress though was coming over with menus or wanted to drink but she us to get back up go set back in the waiting area because she in cases alot people came in to use that table this was first time we were ever in there our friends was a great place to eat with great food so we left pissoff wrong way to run a business plus the manger heard the whole thing didn't do everything to help us out“

“We enjoyed our lunch today. Nice atmosphere and great service. If I had anything that I would say wasn’t my favorite it would be the beer cheese dip that came with our garlic bread( bread was great). I am Irish and I expected a nice creamy cheddar cheese with a beer influence. Unfortunately, it was so spicy that I couldn’t taste anything but the heat. Maybe they should offer a milder version along with the spicy. Kinda bummed because I wouldn’t order it again. Just an idea.“

“I found this Take out restaurant from an article in The Sacramento Bee. Timmy's is not easy to find, but well worth the effort, It is located in a small complex on Main Street in Placerville near the Court House. The menu is very eclectic. I had the spicy prawn sandwich with a side of tater tots. Both were made fresh and served in a timely manner. The sandwich was flavorful and not overly spicy. The staff was informative and helpful. The prices were a bit high but well worth it for the quality.“

“This is my new happy place! The line was short for a Saturday morning. The girls working here were super sweet. I ordered the Lox bagel on "the works" (everything bagel). It was fantastic. The bagel was not too fluffy and just the right amount of chewy - perfectly toasted. Lots of salmon and cream cheese and all the goodies. Well worth it. I'm already ready to go back!“
“Had my first Apple Ale here. While I will not be having another (not that it was bad, just not my cup of tea) the brewery looks like a great place to visit for an evening of fun. There are plenty of places to sit and games to entertain. The grounds and tap room are clean and well kept. I highly recommend!“
