“Visiting the McDonald’s (Downey, California) is like stepping back in time. As the oldest operating McDonald’s in the world, built in 1953, it has a really unique charm you won’t find in any modern location.

The original Googie-style architecture is still intact, and the massive 32-foot golden arches make it instantly recognizable. One of the coolest parts is the vintage “Speedee” mascot sign, which gives you a glimpse into the early days of the brand before Ronald McDonald became the face of the company.

There’s also a small museum nearby that showcases the history of McDonald’s, which adds a lot to the experience beyond just grabbing food. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot if you’re into Americana or just want to see a piece of fast-food history still standing and operating today.“

“I always receive great customer service here! & I always choose too drive a little farther out because of the service! Today at 4:25 we were given our food and ofcourse everything was great! As soon as we ask for ranch the employee rolled his eyes and then hands me two ranch. The eye rolling was not necessary… have a great day!“

“I'm a 80's & 90's guy that grew eating Micky D's. It will always hold a special place in my heart.....and arteries. McNuggies are always gonna hit the spot. Plus, if you have the app, you can spend $10 and get a lot of food. If no app, try the McValue meals. $5, $6 combos. I maybe eat here 2x's a week. For sure 1 day. It's a quick dinner fix.“

“This place does not get full stars because its McDonalds food and its not always there. Sometimes they are slow but customer service has not never been rude. I understand the wait when they are understaffed so its not a big deal. I've actually had good customer service experiences. Was looking at the stickers while I waited and found one of them on Instagram. You can look at stickers while you wait. 🤣🤣🤣“
