“we just hosted a birthday party for a 76 year old woman and we choose Mimi's Cafe as our location. I am so glad that we did they were more than a accommodating friendly and overall just a great environment. it was very affordable beautiful and we had a great time. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. even with our delays we ran up about an hour late and they still accommodated us.“

“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.“

“I've been off the burgers for a while so I tried their chicken chef salad which is pretty darn good! plenty of chicken and vegetables when I'm in the area would definitely go try again. I have to say the burger smells awesome. The owners are pretty cool as well“

“It is kind of expensive, its like 16 for 8 pieces, but you can taste the quality. Its better than chicken day or bbq chicken the meat is juicier and the skin is crispier. The fries are pretty good too and they give you ranch for free. I got the red disco its good not as sweet as other chains which I like.“

“The food was exceptional for what I call sit- down fast food. I had never eaten there before so I loved the shrimp tacos and chicken taquitos with quest sauce drizzled on top. Just the right amount too!
The inside of this location was in desperate need of sweeping and clean tables (I had to request a towel to do it myself before the staff member wiped the table).
I will go back again one day soon as the food is starting me to return.
In returning to this particular location in Downey, I hope the person whose job it is to sweep and clean tables is doing a better job.
Maybe it was a fluke.“

“One of the last donut spots with great prices and delicious donuts that outdo the competition! The young lady that worked there was super sweet and helpful and the donuts were amazing. I got donuts holes for my little ones and they wer light and fluffy and not oily at all. The donuts themselves were glazed perfectly and were very beautiful. It's a mom and pop shop so it's got an old-school vibe in there but there's plenty of seating and it was nice and cool inside. I got in there just in time to beat a small rush they had around lunch time! The place was great! I will be returning soon!!“

“I went around 8 pm on a weekday and it was pretty quiet, 3-4 tables occupied inside and one other car in the drive thru. The person at the drive thru window was very polite and made good suggestions. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was great. The bacon was crispy and the fries were hot and delicious.“

I always get the same thing, the sweet cream ice cream with the yellow pound cake, roasted almonds and marshmallows 🤩 this has been my go to since cold stone first began 😋 I dare you to try it. “looked up this place on yelp a few days ago while looking for menudo and parole. we were on a time constraint so ate elsewhere. Today went to eat brunch across street from yolis but line was too long. leaving driveway we saw Yoli's and decided to eat there. Wow were we impressed!! the place is small but comfy, staff very friendly and fast service. Food was delicious! I had the tamale, crunchy taco with rice n beans. wife and daughter had parole. “8/2026…We visit the east la spot at least once a week during school season. We drive thru this area quite a bit and were very excited to see the sign go and kept an eye out during summer waiting for them to open. They had a soft opening and lines were very long but moved quickly. The drinks here are just as delicious as the original spot and we will definitely be regulars here since they are also serving food.

Tip: there is parking behind the building, enter thru the small side street and you can enter thru the back.“

Only complaint is that the meat was too thick for me also it looked a little too real but I was assured that it was plant based . We were a table of 4, coming in right after the soccer game ended - so there was no wait. We sat on the patio because it was loud (and fun) inside. The taquitos and tacos are yummy. “I’ve been coming here since I can remember. At least 10 years by now. Their food is always consistent and delicious and priced well. My family’s order is a full chicken, fries, and arroz chauffa. The chicken is always tender and juicy and has great flavor, but my favorite is the arroz con chauffa. I think it’s genuinely my favorite food ever. period. I could eat it every day and not get tired of it 11/10. Now, we usually order take out because the inside is kind of small and we like to share with our friends and family (who also love it) so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of eating inside.
