Wish we'd found it the first day we we're there I'd have been eating there everyday. The food and atmosphere are excellent and a live DJ playing music we all grew up on (can you dig it ✊?). “After ordering I came to check on the reviews and I must say that some people are very bored in life because all of the negative reviews didn’t match their character! Such a friendly young duo with the gift for amazing food, because this was the best soul food I’ve had ever since visiting LA. Just fire food and for those complaining about their attitude lol it’s very obviously stated how to order food and before walking in, maybe call and check if reading is to hard. Sincerely no disappointment over here!! Know you have yourselves and overseas customer and whenever I am in town my money surely goes to you !!!!“

“My husband and I loved this place! The best Italian sandwiches we have had in a while. We even liked it better than the viral All’antico Vinaio. We also got the tiramisu at the end, and after going to Italy this past summer this was the closest and best to the real deal. Also got a latte and their coffee is also amazing. If you are in the area definitely give this place a try.“

“I stumbled across “nugtown” for late food in the area and was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the food made fresh to order - I literally watched him batter and fry them - the owner was the sweetest human who genuinely cared about his services. He even threw in every sauce (which are bomb btw) so we could try and report back. I brought them home to my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop telling people that we found a new go-to spot! Wishing Nugtown the utmost success!! ?

“I specialize in the renovation of kitchens, but this is Grandmas country kitchen 2.0. Both a local market and an incredibly good southern inspired restaurant, be prepared to be warmed by the good spirit of true comfort food and energy of the old days... when food took time but every1 chatted away... It was my first time here, so I didn't get a chance to really experiment on food (chicken sausage, eggs, and pancakes), but it was pleasant. Good prices and a local spot you should not miss.“

“Well this was the best experience that I had, I went to get a case of Small Turkey wings and they were sold out and this was a Saturday and I needed them for Sunday dinner at my church, well I then got bags of Chicken wings and at the same time they were frying some chicken and I said I want a order of the fried wings to go and he stated that they dont fry to order anymore, we do catering, and I was like ok I would like some chicken for tomorrow and he stated you have to order two weeks in advance, but long story short he took the order and I went to pick up Sunday and it was ready and they took it to the car, BOY I tell you that was some GOOD OLE FIRED AND BAKE CHICKEN, I will be ordering again real soon. “This year's Sangode Thanksgiving dinner was made by Mestico. Everyone loved the well-seasoned and tender turkey. The black-eyed pea salad was amazing! And I took ALL the yucca mash, I can never go back to regular mashed potatoes after having this!“

“I Had the frog legs, parmesan fries and the Cajun rice. Everything was perfect except the rice. The Cajun rice was a little gummy and some grains of rice were still hard. The atmosphere was quiet and the customer service was wonderful. Reasonable prices were appreciated.“

“Legend Hot Chicken is a really good chicken place! Think of it as a Korean Cane's (their LHC sauce = Canes sauce).

The waitress Luna was very friendly, amazing, polite, and helped me choose what flavors to get and items to get based on popularity. (Honey bee is popular, but I prefer Sweet and Spicy).

Wait time doesn't take long, usually about 15 minutes. The chicken wings and tenders are cooked fully and they are loaded for the sauce. Definitely, recommend the combos as you get a lot of food for the money.

I look forward to coming back here and trying out the other flavors.

“Best BBQ hands down! I have been getting my Que for over 3 years now. So much they know me by name and my order. I'm a no sauce person and a lot of places can't deliver that "wow" effect when it comes to seasoning. But Rowes seasonings is to perfection. All the sides are fire, my favorite is the potato salad. Plates are well portioned, for a great price. And we ain't gonna talk about the Peach Cobbler??. Gotta get there early tho, because by 3 or 4 some food can be sold, that's just how good it is. No cap, I have business I do bi weekly in the area and I never leave without going thru and grabbing a plate. Keep bringing that ? Que Rowe I'm a customer for life!!!“

Also, whoever answers the phone to take orders, I know, make sure you have your order ready, but he was rushing me off the phone. I had to call back to make sure he got my order correct. “Absolutely loved the chicken and waffles! The chicken was fresh and moist. I also ordered the lemonade iced tea and that was so refreshing. Hot sauces were perfect too, they had flavor and enough heat. My favorite sauces from left to right as seen in picture.
Spent about $20 each person not bad because although it doesn’t look it, food was very filling.“
