The food is incredible - focaccia so light, fluffy, and flavorful you feel like you teleported to Italy - and they make the most perfect tart crust I’ve had in years, which Francesca described as “home” to her. Both (the prosciutto and fontina grilled sando + apricot tart) paired beautifully with their americano. Chefs kiss!“

“My family and I were in town and looking for a soul food place to try when we stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. We originally went into the location to order from a different cook (not realizing that it was a shared kitchen with several different restaurants inside) and that's when we were greeted by a woman offering samples of her food from this place and we loved the taste, so we bought our food from her. The food was really good and well seasoned. We were happy with our food choice! Give them a try!“

The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. Customer service is fantastic. But geez the long line up…we arrived at 1:25 they open at 1:30pm & there was a long line, I mean long but they did provide ice cold water which was refreshing & needed when standing in the sun for any length of time.
By the time we got into the restaurant, order, pay & actually get our food it was 3:50pm. They have seating available once you get inside and wait another 30-45 min for your order so you can relax.
Yes people thats how long the wait is. 2.5hrs to wait for food don't get me wrong like I said the food was great but just cant see myself waiting in line again for that length of time hence the 3 stars for atmosphere. I was told the line up is the norm.“

Such a friendly young duo with the gift for amazing food, because this was the best soul food I’ve had ever since visiting LA. “Our family of 5--parents + kids 22, 19 and 13--had Fatburger on our "must do" list for LA. We wanted to eat inside, but they were only serving through the drive-thru so...drive-thru it was. The wife and I don't eat beef so we each got the Fatburger w/Impossible patty. The kids got the Classic Fatburger. Fries all around of course. The car was filled with smacks, slurps and mmmms. Good burgers! Now the fries could have used more seasoning but the burgers were slappin'!“

Not only was the food made fresh to order - I literally watched him batter and fry them - the owner was the sweetest human who genuinely cared about his services. He even threw in every sauce (which are bomb btw) so we could try and report back. I brought them home to my boyfriend and he couldn’t stop telling people that we found a new go-to spot! Wishing Nugtown the utmost success!! ?

“Well this was the best experience that I had, I went to get a case of Small Turkey wings and they were sold out and this was a Saturday and I needed them for Sunday dinner at my church, well I then got bags of Chicken wings and at the same time they were frying some chicken and I said I want a order of the fried wings to go and he stated that they dont fry to order anymore, we do catering, and I was like ok I would like some chicken for tomorrow and he stated you have to order two weeks in advance, but long story short he took the order and I went to pick up Sunday and it was ready and they took it to the car, BOY I tell you that was some GOOD OLE FIRED AND BAKE CHICKEN, I will be ordering again real soon. First I went to a spot on the same Plaza, on accident. (Didn't try their food so don't have an opinion on that, but I was craving sweet potato pie and it wasn't on the menu at the flashier place) boy am I glad I followed through to these guys!!! Russian/Ukrainian from Brooklyn I was missing some actual home cooking, this place hit it out of the park ?!!! Can't wait to go back. Hole in the wall place, hidden jem! Everything hit the spot! Sweet potato pie OMG, fried chicken, mac and cheese... got double corn bread... keep on guys, thank you for amazing food! Recommended the place to my friends and will be back every time my job lands me in the area... go to place!!!“
