Finally!!! A soul food restaurant that gets the Mac and Cheese and Candied Yams RIGHT!!!! Excellent service from the owner to the wait staff.

Lonell's Soul Food Cuisine is a great soul food spot with high quality food and good service. The food is amazing, with everything flavorful and fresh. The salmon is cooked perfectly, and the pork chops are great, breaded just right. The brisket has great flavor, though some may prefer it more lean. The fried chicken dinner with double yams and muddy water (good flavored tea) is a hit. The pork chop lunch special with MacnCheese and yams tastes homemade, not doctored up. Other menu items include fried chicken, Mac in cheese, greens, corn bread, and ox tails. The muddy water is also very good. The atmosphere is fun, especially during karaoke night with impressive singers. The employees are very friendly and attentive. Lonell's is a truly inspiring experience, a beacon of hope that will leave you feeling inspired. It is a place customers would come back to for lunch or dinner.
