We had an outstanding meal at Cafe Maddelena to end our weekend in Mt Shasta/Dunsmuir. We had the olives, tartine of the day (tomato), Caesar salad, Cassoulet and entree special (fettuccine with wild foraged mushrooms). Our food was legit outstanding. Café Maddalena offered one of my favorite food experiences in North America. Everything tasted so delicate, and the portions were plentiful. Add to that the staff's friendliness, and you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is also perfect: the music is at the perfect volume where it fades into the background, and you are surrounded with people enjoying their dinner.
