“If you never had the chance to visit a North Beach Italian restaurant before SF was ruined by the tech bros, Mount Shasta has the answer. Gigi’s is a great little Italian restaurant with the original Italian-American style. Proud of their heritage- photos and great food to prove it. Fun spot. Well worth the morning. If you’re lucky, you might catch Gigi there. Hurry before he moves back to Italy!“

“This is an absolute gem of a breakfast spot in McCloud, CA. If passing through the area, it is worth a stop off the beaten path to step in here and grab a delicious latte, mocha, tea or one of many handcrafted pastries. Tracy, the owner, recently opened this year, and my family and I have had the treat of trying out many of her delicacies and I couldn't wait to share about how yummy everything is (that we have tasted). I live in Mount Shasta and will make the 15, 20 minute drive to McCloud for Spill the Beans, because in my opinion, we have nothing that compares in our own town, sadly. The lattes here are absolutely delicious- this is my go-to. My partner was very impressed with the mochas. If you get the chance and like gingerbread, I thought the gingerbread cake was amazing- it's not as excessively sweet as it looks. If you like scones, but get concerned about trying out new ones, less they be too dry, you can try one of Tracy's, fully expecting a delightful experience. And one of our favorites that we will probably always snatch if it's there: the churro doughnut. That is a treat you will not want to miss. She also offers standard breakfast options like breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches and my absolute favorite of these is the breakfast burrito. It's big enough to split if you're hoping to try one of the sweet items in the case. Also, if you're hoping to grab a quick lunch in McCloud, there are croissant sandwiches with butter lettuce and the meat of your choice. Delicious!“
“When I was on vacation with my husband, we were trying to find a good coffee spot other than Starbucks. Looked this place and up and decided to try it. We’re so glad we did. The coffee here is excellent, not to mention the lady who ran it was very sweet. On top of that, the selling point for us is that it’s veteran-owned. If you’re looking for a place that sells great coffee while supporting a veteran owned business, this is the place for you. 20/10 highly recommend. Wonderful little coffee stand.“

“Looking for a latte, pastry or a pet friendly hotel, well Finlandia is the place for you. I have passed by this hotel over and over again while in Mount Shasta because I thought it was a hostel until last week. I Yelped looking for a place to get a latte near my husbands job site and Finlandia popped up. Hmm... I met him there and I was greeted by guests walking their dogs, a kennel with some lovely pooches, mountain bike storage, hammocks, lots a parking, and of course a cafe. I was able to order a delicious latte from a friendly barista and sit down in a nice quiet sitting area with tables and Wi-Fi. The barista is the one who gave me the rental info on the cute property. The hammock rooms are perfect if you have kids.“
