“After putting it off for a long time, I finally made it here. The girl at the counter was very pleasant and didn't try to rush us to place our order. I chose the DUI while my wife ordered the birria tacos. I was surprised that she preferred the tacos here to the ones from Tacos El Goloso since I find those tacos pretty darn slammin' but she said these tacos were milder and suited her tastebuds better. As long as she's happy right? I wasn't as crazy about my choice. The DUI was just too salty. Everything from the pastrami and bacon bits to the dog itself. There wasn't anything to balance out the sodium overload. I was glad I ordered it on the lobster roll though since the larger/thicker bun probably helps keep the ingredients together better than just a plain bun. I think next time I'll go a bit more basic with a house dog or elote dog and see how that works out. The garlic fries with the dip were very good. My highlight though was the churro. It could have been bigger for $3 but horchata whipped cream dip they provide you with is KILLER. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I'm more than willing to try something different next time. I really need to try the dirty corn or esquite next time around to see how they do with that. Parking in this shopping center can be problematic. Not that it's that hard to find a space, unless you're trying to park by the 99 cent store but the problem is this center seems to be the gathering spot for the worst drivers in Gardena. This wasn't my first rodeo here and I can testify that 30% of the drivers here are blind, high, decrepit, or stupid. Be very careful navigating this parking lot. If possible, park closer to the Bruddah's restaurant and avoid the loonies pulling into/out of Starbucks, the Habit, and the 99 cent store. They do not pay attention or they think they always have the right of way. The worst are the old people driving the beat up tanks from the 70s. Beware my friends, beware.“

“I heard about Jugos Naturales through word of mouth. I decided to pay the establishment a visit. When I entered the restaurant it reminded me about the mom n pop shops aesthetic found in Mexico. Very vibrant colors and many pictures of the food they sell. The two ladies working the establishment were very kind and did not rush us when we looked over the menu. We diced to order a torta that did not disappint, an esquite with Hot Cheeto crumbs that was something new for me but definitely not a regret, a licuado de platano which was delicious, and a bionico that was extremely generous in serving. The food overall was delicious. I'd also like to add that the serving sizes are generous and their food is made to order. Will I be returning? No doubt. Thanks Jugos Naturales!“

“My visit to 88 Hotdog was an unexpectedly delightful culinary adventure, especially for someone with a penchant for creatively crafted fast food. Nestled in a bustling, crowded area where parking can be a bit of a treasure hunt, this gem stands out for its unique offerings and commendable service.Starting with the mozzarella corn dog, it was a standout in both size and flavor, offering great value for its price. The corn dog was perfectly crispy on the outside, with a gooey, stretchy mozzarella center that was both satisfying and indulgent. It’s the kind of treat that brings a smile to your face with each bite, blending the nostalgic essence of a classic corn dog with a cheesy twist that elevates it to a whole new level. The adventure didn't stop there; the yogurt drinks were a revelation in their own right. I indulged in a variety of flavors - peach, mango, blueberry, and pineapple - each one more refreshing and flavorful than the last. These drinks had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, with the fruit flavors shining through beautifully. They were not just good; they were exceptional, adding a refreshing contrast to the savory richness of the corn dog.The service at 88 Hotdog deserves a special mention. Despite the crowded location, the employee was friendly, efficient, and quick to serve, making the overall experience even more pleasant. It's always a breath of fresh air to encounter service that is both warm and competent, especially in fast-paced environments. While the parking situation and crowded surroundings might deter some, the culinary delights and the cheerful service at 88 Hotdog make it well worth the effort. It's a small price to pay for the joy of biting into a delicious mozzarella corn dog and sipping on exquisitely flavored yogurt drinks. For anyone in the area or those willing to brave the parking challenge, 88 Hotdog is a must-visit spot that promises a satisfying and tasty experience.“

“Mochinut delights with its cleverly rotating menu and the fun of eating donut "bites" that make a dozen seem like just a few. The donuts themselves are a perfect mix of chewy, subtly sweet, and not at all greasy. While the corn dogs might be a bit too oily for some, it's likely just the Korean-style preparation. “This is a long overdue review actually - I can back when it first opened and when even the name was different. It was the first korean corndog place to open in LA so hype was definitely there. My girlfriend and I finally made the trip to K-Town to visit this place and there was a bit of a line. But once you're in, getting your food isn't too bad. They have it made to order too so you will have to wait a bit always - but you get it while it's fresh! Selection is fair - we got a classic and one with cheese. Both were good and I highly recommend to get it with sugar because that's what makes it special. my girlfriend prefers the breading on the Korean corndogs because it's not as thick and bready as American ones. The sauce options are pretty decent, but the go to for me is always just ketchup & mustard. Overall it's a good staple, but I don't see this specific spot as a huge wow factor in terms of taste.“

I ordered the “dorados combo” which comes with comes with two birria quesatacos, rice & beans, and a drink. But I didn’t get any queso in my birria tacos. It was just two birria dorados. I’ve ordered this combo many times before and never had any issues so I am a little disappointed cause I know the combo includes the quesatacos. “I urgently needed a matcha Mochinut for my friend yesterday. This shop was able to deliver and my friend was so happy, this is what they said:“The first bite into my matcha mochinut revealed a burst of earthy and slightly bitter Matcha flavor, which was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the dough. The smoothness of the Matcha infused glaze that coated the Mochinut added an extra layer of richness to this already heavenly treat. As I savored each bite, I was transported to a world, where flavors, harmonized in perfect symphony.“Matcha Mochinut, offer not only an explosion of taste, but also provide numerous health benefits. Matcha is known for its high concentration of antioxidants, which help boost, metabolism, and promote overall well-being. Additionally, these delightful treats are gluten-free and made from natural ingredients like rice, flour and sugar, making them suitable for those with dietary restrictions.“This matcha Mochinut was undeniably delicious. The unique combination of flavors and textures created an experience that both satisfied my palate and nourished my body.“I can’t recommend a matcha Mochinut enough, whether these are enjoyed as a midday snack, or as a dessert after a meal, these delightful treats never fail to bring joy and contentment to those fortunate enough to savor their exquisite taste.”“

“Rating: 4.2/5 This place is right across from tastea and has somewhat good parking. I have heard of this place but never gone until now. I decided to order the reservoir hog and later ordered the t-mex sausage dog. I heard from the cashier that the reservoir hog was a popular sausage dog that people get. Personally, I did not like that specific sausage. I liked the sausage itself and everything about it EXCEPT the damn mustard they put on top. I should've asked no mustard but I wanted the unedited sausage dog. I think the mustard overpowered the taste of the entire sausage dog, although I did get slivers of the sausage taste which was good and juicy. Wouldn't get it again though. To redeem myself, I got the t-mex sausage dog and shared it among friends and god I should've went with this first. It was spicy and juicy and their slaw just balanced it all out. It wasn't overly spicy but it had enough kick for me to like it. I tasted more of the sausage and it made me enjoy the dog even more. The fries were okay, can be shared between two people and it'll be enough (enough to be content). My friends got the old town and downtown dog and both said were pretty good choices. I didn't get to explore the bar and their beer on tap but they do have happy hour on sundays after 10pm(?) and Mon-Fri happy hour(don't know the time). The lighting is nice because it isn't overly bright but its not so dark where I can't see. Would I go here again for 11 dollar hot dogs? Probably! I do enjoy their sausage dogs so that's definitely a plus in my books since some places don't do that.“

“I really enjoy getting a burger from Five Guys because they consistently serve a solid product with a nice variety of condiments and add-ons. I especially appreciate the fact they don't charge extra for mushrooms. The only thing that disappointed me this visit was the reduction in the quantity of fries they gave. I always looked forward to the overflow of delicious fries that would be found at the bottom of the bag. Not this time. A wave of sadness came over me at this sight. I can only hope this is not a harbinger of things to come.Service has always been good. The staff have been pretty cool and I've never had any issues at any of their locations. The location is conveniently located off Redondo Beach Blvd and parking is plentiful. There is a Starbucks located a short walk away in case you desire a different beverage than what Five Guys offers and a decent donut shop (Rainbow Donuts) in case you need a sweet treat to wrap up your meal. In closing, BRING BACK THE OVERFLOWING FRIES! If I wanted an undersized, overpriced (but yummy) order of fries, I could go to Mickey D's down the street. Step it up guys. I believe in you. “In my attempt to dine at a different fast food chain, I wound up happening onto this little gem and went out on a limb to try something new, in the name of breakfast. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, with everything on it, minus the pickle, and it was sensational. Like a chilli cheese hot dog, alongside a breakfast sanwhich, between an English muffin. It was gone in 3 bites, I highly recommend you try it for yourself if you happen onto a Tommy's.“

“Imma keep it short and sweet! New year's day 2024, right after attending the Rose Parade in Pasadena, we wanted a quick bite... Decided to stop off at Shake Shack for our first meal of the new year! Service was quick and pleasant. The cashier made a mistake on our order and promptly corrected it and issued a refund before we even realized it. The ambiance was clean, tidy and uncluttered. There are some tables indoors, but on a nice SoCal day, why not sit outside where there were more seating options. They also have 3 single stall restrooms in the rear. The food, always fresh and consistent. I absolutely love the shroom to top my burger. So yum! Thanks Shake Shack Silverlake, imma fan! Review #001 for 2024“

“Considering the price I rounded up to a 4Are there better burger spots? (Maybe check out my HiHo Cheeseburger Review) But can you top an old school thousand island all over your face spot, NO!The burger was cooked nicely with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and pickles The fries (frozen btw) were decent , not knock your socks off fries but decent But the service was top notch, fast and with that "we'll see you again" attitude Definitely a local spot that does things well and is an asset to the community“

Basultos Tacos Mexican •

“3 tacos with rice and beans for $10, you can't beat that price. The carne asada is good and I love all the toppings they offer. Be warned, the tacos are spicy here. I went with mild and that was the perfect amount of spice for me. I loved the extra toppings such as pickled onions, radishes, and jalapeños. Rice and beans were ok, not my favorite, but still Enjoyable“

“Ambiance: Typical restaurant vibes, I usually opt for the drive thru, but the inside does have a lot of seating both inside and out.Service: Though I'm usually in the drive thru, there is always a wait. I've never been able to get in and out like most places. But the food is always hot.Food: I first tried chilaquiles here, and I've been in love with them ever since. The red sauce is my favorite. The plate is always heavy, and I'm always full after I've had them. It's not spicy but rich with flavor. I always ask for just one egg since I'm not a big fan, but they almost never listen.“
