“Wow! I’m visiting San Francisco and chose this spot on a busy Valentine’s Day. Boy was that the right call! Food was perfection, fries were crispy fresh-and don’t sleep on the onion rings! “I come here a lot before work and I have been coming there for more than 15 years. It’s a local moms and pops and they are always welcoming and food is always hot and fresh. If you are in downtown Oakland check them out for breakfast and lunch options.“

“This is a gem of a diner. The food is great, service is quick, smart and friendly, and the vibe is easy going.
The special Chile Verde pork with grits and poached eggs was fantastic-a real winner. Breakfast sandwich is a reliable and super delicious standard. Everything is prepared with thought and care.
Coffee does its job. Can't wait to get back.

“Dennys and Jen Curtis as our waitress she was terrific chicken fried steak n eggs my favorite it was delicious. Jen was very pleasant her service outstanding we will be back“
“Little hole in the wall type business run by a sweet older man and his cook! We ordered the huevos rancheros and the waffles with fried chicken.
Although the huevos lacked a bit of flavor; both meals were affordable and well made regardless! The owner even offered us tortillas to go with our food. The decore is cute and the diner itself is relatively quiet. I'd say check it out if you're looking for a cheap filling bite!“

“We were a group of 12 who descended on David’s Deli. Sat at the bar seating and had a great breakfast. Robbie our server was fab. Twelve different orders and everyone commented with big thumbs up for their food. Thank you for making 12 out of towners feel so welcomed.“

“5 stars on atmosphere since I ordered to go, but it seemed pretty peaceful and clean.
I'm a pretty no frills guy, and in that respect, the food was on point. Hashbrown were perfectly crispy, bacon was perfectly rendered and great to munch on, and the biscuts and gravy were as awesome as comfort food as I grew up with. The scrambled eggs were not overcooked or dry. I just wish I had some tabasco sauce to eat it with. Kudos for earning me as a returning customer after one trip.“

“Food was very good, good service too. Really good location and it reminds me of a 1940s diner. Pretty good menus and selection of food. \nBut unfortunately this is probably my last visit. Which is really too bad as I really like the place and would recommend it to everyone. But, as I was leaving I noticed a sign in the widow I hadn’t seen when entering. Stating that law enforcement was not allowed if they don’t have a warrant. Well I support law enforcement and if they aren’t allowed to dine here then I won’t be back either. Too bad, I really like this restaurant.“
