“Saturday, 9/27/2025 - Went to try Folsom Palace Asian Bistro. The restaurant is like, about 300 sq feet. Address is 3941 Park Dr, Ste 10, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. There are many stores here. Restaurants, massage place, pet stores, gas, US Bank, Golden 1, etc. Lots of parking. Upon arrival....
Pros
1) Restaurant looked clean. Tables, chairs, utensils, cups, plates, etc all looked clean.
2) There's a bar.
3) easy to find parking. We got seated right away. We were the only ones in the restaurant since we were early.
4) our waitress was very nice and attending. She checked on us several times.
5) water tasted good. No funky or odd taste.
6) all of our food dishes were good. No complaints. 1 bowl of rice for 1 person is $3.50.
7) they had seating outside, in the front too. I saw a few tables there.
8) our waitress brought us a few boxes to go, as we had extra foods left.
Cons
1) none
Conclusion
I like this little place. Not too bad. Service was great. Parking was easy. Lots of stores all around, even a Target close by. You can catch a movie if you wanted too. Movie theatre isn't too far away. I'd come here again if I'm in the area. Not to shabby. I wanted Drunken Noodle. They didn't know what that was. Hahaha. I guess I'm at the wrong Asian restaurant. Lol“

“My family and I love Mikasa! This is our go-to sushi place. Family-friendly, very clean, amazing food, and the service is fantastic!“
“Salena was so nice! Greeted us with a wonderful smile and so helpful with suggestions as it was our first visit, the place was clean and food portions were good for $18.48 and chicken breast. Would like to add salt and pepper to tables and cook the breast a little less, just a tad dry. Will be back !! Thank you“

“Simply nothing worth complaining about. Lady running the store at the front is real kind. Atmosphere is quite nice if you actually dine in, pretty quiet/chill and seemed quite clean. Food is pretty great relative to what we have in Folsom. Recommend their honey walnut shrimp and salt/pepper pork chops.“

“We got an assortment of dishes for a decent-sized group (15) of family, and everyone truly enjoyed the food. Some even said it was the best they ever had! The food was ready very quickly and they accurately predicated the timing so we got to bring it home hot and fresh. The portions were large enough to split amongst multiple people (2-3 each), but they don't come with rice so be sure to order some with your dish.“

“Hometown Dumpling in Folsom, CA, serves up some authentic homemade dumpling... they gots boiled, steamed , and pan fried in a variety of fillings.
The menu also has wonton soup, noodles, soup dumplings, fried spring rolls, crab rangoons, cucumber salad (Asian style), Chinese egg custards, bbq pork buns, sesame red bean paste fried balls,, stir fry veggies, taro steamed buns, and some other items.
I've tried the dumplings boiled, steamed, and pan fried. The boiled ones are slippery and best when I'm in the mood to have them swirled in a sauce like hot chili oil. Streamed ones have a slight chew to the dumpling exterior than the boiled or fried dumplings. But doesn't take away from the taste. Pan fried is good when you want a crispier exterior and slight crunch. Whatever way you order 'em... it's all good! The egg custards, sesame balls, and crab rangoons are classic and my other go tos. I enjoy the diversity of the menu. Gotta confess, in Folsom there is not a lot of these good authentic dumpling places. Plus throw in some dim sum items...score! Is it Michelin star, no. It is homemade and comforting, yes!
The place is clean, comfortable, and has basic furnishings and decor. There is no music or TV. The owner works most of the shifts. It truly is a small family business that welcomes your family.“

“My first visit here. I enjoyed the vermicelli with chicken dish was nicely prepared and came with a serving of their sauce mixture. I thought it was very good and the chicken had a nice flavor and was not dried out. I nearly did not go in because the storefront was blackened and was a bit surprised when the door opened.“

“I come here more than I should probably admit. The sushi is always fresh, and the service is just as good. These days I usually grab takeout since I work on the road, but every time I pass by, my car somehow pulls into their lot on its own (very bizarre).
Everything I have tried has been great. One tip, if you like a little kick, ask for jalapenos on your roll. You will not be disappointed.“

“Absolutely one of the best local Chinese restaurants in the area as you can see in the picture there is no one here at 7pm is a shame as seriously some of the best food in the area and yet maybe people just don't know? This is no Panda Express this is real true Chinese food prepared amazingly how about customer here for close to 20 years always be, if you need a night out and want delicious food this is the place it breaks my heart knowing that doordash and the likes are putting some of our local institutions out of business I hope they are not one of them but just the same if you've never been here it is worth coming“

“My family had a wonderful experience at Asian Bistro! The owners were so nice and brought my husband a Pepsi Zero from their personal stash, even though it isn't on the menu.
They have a separate gluten free menu and they take care to prepare the gluten free dishes in clean pans and oil. I ordered the gluten free lemon chicken and vegetable fried rice, which were both delicious. My family ordered several dishes from the regular menu and really enjoyed them.
Great food and great service. We'll be back!“
