About Washoku

Washoku is a Japanese restaurant in Sac that offers a diverse menu featuring sushi, katsu, and ramen, among other dishes. The ramen menu includes the yuzu shio, which is a standout favorite among reviewers. Customers also enjoyed the chicken Katsu donburi, which was crispy and delicious, and the curry donburi, praised for its great portion size. The restaurant is well-kept, clean, and offers a friendly, attentive staff. Some guests appreciated the beautiful presentation of each plate and felt the restaurant deserves more attention, as it was surprisingly empty during their visit. The miso, ramen, rolls, and salad were all highly recommended, with a special mention of the yuzu ramen, which had a prominent and refreshing flavor that complemented the pork belly. The tsukemen was also well-liked, with chewy noodles and a spicy dipping broth. Kid-friendly options include edamame and hambagu, with the restaurant accommodating children well despite no kid cups being available. Parking is off the radar, but worth the visit for a quality Japanese meal. Overall, Washoku is a great spot for those seeking flavorful dishes in a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

For one, it was open. Secondly, they did their best to seat us since it was late. Though the best part was that the food was good.

I do have to add that some of the pricing was high, although the taste basically made up for it. But, the biggest downfall was that the portions were small.

I really enjoyed both the balanced mixture of modern/contemporary ambiance without it being overwhelming, and the tasty food that would definitely bring comfort to the soul. The Washoku was reeeeaaally good as well as the Katsu Chicken. The waitress was very friendly as well. Definitely a place to go back to, ESPECIALLY during the rainy season when needing to replenish the soul. Really nice experience.

The garlic tonkatsu was the best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth alone was absolutely incredible. The gyozas, chicken katsu curry, California rolls, and the karaage chicken were all so delicious as well. Everything was honestly a 12/10.
