Booked Hong Kong East Ocean for my birthday dinner. I wanted to eat Salt and pepper crab. My reservation was at 8:39pm, it was very quiet on a Tuesday night. The venue reminded me to f a 90's wedding hall.. I ordered Ginger scallion crab because it was the only non spicy option besides steam crab;which was delicious and I ordered a beef and bell peppers dish w/steM rice.
We come here often. The views are spectacular during the day - this is definitely a place you take out of town guests for a spectacular view of San Francisco and the Bay. The wait stuff is remarkably kind and considerate. They understand what “gluten free” means and will work with the chef to see what is feasible. The check-in reception is inefficient. Reservations are listed on paper, leading to a disorganized check-in process. However, the waitstaff was friendly and provided quick service. We were pleased that the food arrived hot. While the food was enjoyable, I believe that improving the initial experience at the check-in desk would have established a better overall tone.
