“Been coming here for years. As a local born and raised in Encinitas, there is no better restaurant for drinks and great food that has withstood the times. As for the service from the staff it has always been exceptional. Most recently Saul has always taken care of me with recommendations on drinks and food. They have just recently changed their menu so definitely something to check out.“

Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. Ray & Mark went above and beyond in making our daughter-in-laws 50th birthday celebration special. The 50th balloons, cake accessories, & gift card were unexpected & appreciated. This is a place to go for a special celebration! Chef Joseph prepared a variety of delicious boards & more. They truly give top notch attention to detail & service. Highly recommend!“

“Rosinas is consistently excellent authentic Italian food. The only food downside ( which is why I gave Food a 4 out of 5 rating), is their Ceaser salad...it is consistently bland, really watery, and tasteless...such an unpleasant surprise given that ALL of the other salads are so delicious, and ALL of the other food is delicious. Rosina, PLEASE update the Ceaser salad..it is really awful.“

“Visited for a special event dinner with Epoch winery from Paso Robles. The owner of the store was exceedingly gracious and friendly and the event was a great success. The store has a pretty wide range of wine offerings as well as local craft beers, with several exclusive/harder to get wines as well as more mainstream options. The store is admittedly "Paso-centric" in their overall portfolio, but the prices are consistent with what you would see at the wineries. They also have cheeses for sale at the front counter.“

Monarch Ocean Pub exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The open-air setting overlooking the street gives the perfect mix of energy and ease — you feel part of the buzz of Del Mar while enjoying a relaxed, elegant meal.

Our server, Bo, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely delightful to talk with (we even discovered she went to Indiana University, which made it feel like a small-world connection!).

Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — from the fresh oysters and crisp Caesar salad to the soft Parker House rolls, the shrimp and lobster sliders, and the finale of melt-in-your-mouth Hawaiian donuts. Each bite was perfection.

There were two large parties coming in at the same time. I think our waiter was the only one working all the tables. That's the only bummer part that I can come up with.“

Husband got the surf and turf which came with a generous portion of filet a lobster four or five shrimp and veggies. I got the appetizer shrimp barsac, which I didn't like and sent it back because it was not peeled properly so I just ate off my husband's plate and it was really good“

The staff around the pool are friendly and keep the loungers organized and take orders for you. 90% of the staff behind the bar at fantastic.“
