Bagels Restaurants near Encino, CA

“Interesting how I’ve seen reviews that state these are ok for LA but just ok for NYC. I think these are great bagels and I’ve had worse. I’d be curious to taste a “real” NYC bagel.

Today was an onion with egg and Swiss. Yummy and a fantastic cup of coffee with the option of Oak milk which I appreciate.“

“The manager is very friendly and professional. I am in a wheelchair, and some of the front desk staff ignore me. I came with my nurse. She waited in line twice and told them I needed to order, showing I was where the handicapped sign was. Both times, they ignored her and went to the next customer. When I said you sipped me, they said I have to wait in line. I did three times but they ignored my nurse. The staff also does not assist my nurse. She was sold two tiny cream cheese instead of the ones in the refrigerator. Plus i do not get a bakers dozen ever. They sell 12 but i say its 13 and they corrct me. I never have these issuss in Van Nuys. Nor when the manager assists me.“

“Matcha review: I am YET to try a bagel which is embarrassing for obvious reasons, but Layla has an excellent matcha. Their cream top slaps, if you do dairy. Otherwise they have a solid regular matcha latte, hot or iced. The atmosphere is so bright and uplifting, and there is literally always a crowd/line (in a good way). I think it speaks for itself. Even weekdays are popping, but the line is totally doable. I come for matcha from time to time, but can’t wait to be back for a bagel because they look bomb.“

“I visited Layla’s with a friend who’s a regular, and we were warmly greeted by Adam, whose cheerful energy immediately set the tone. His genuine enthusiasm and customer-first approach stood out so much that I initially thought he might be the owner. Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Placed a large order for pickup on Monday morning at 10am. The order was ready ahead of schedule and the store associates were so kind. Amaria was especially accommodating, i forgot to indicate that i would like the bagels cut so she took time to cut all of them while i waited! It was above and beyond and made my day. “Its tasty. Ingredients are fresh. I got the one with cream cheese and salmon. The amount of salmon was laughable paper thin pieces, but the entire sandwich tasted good. The portion is basically two big half bagels. The dough is not doughy and doesnt stand out like at Noah's. The tomatoes are really tasty and meaty. With a can of soda I ended up paying $23 which is kinda hurtful lol. The place is pretty small but they have a small curbside seating area. The play neutral music and the service was fast. “I was in town visiting from New York when I stumbled on this place. The guy at the front counter was super friendly. The breakfast sandwich was by far the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had… so much so that I went back the next morning too. SO GOOD!“

“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. They fit the theme and they were scrumptious. Mike was so great! He was responsive and his customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Mama’s Donuts whenever you want donuts!“

“This place charges $5 for a large orange juice but the size looks like what most Americans would classify as small/medium. I had to double check google maps to see if I was back in Hawaii again.

However, the bagels are bangin — try the all nighter. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Stopped by Sam’s bagel to grab a lunch sandwich. Around 1:30 pm there were not many options left. I’ve ordered a Turkey sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel.
Sandwich comes with lettuce and other veggies and sliced turkey ham, 11$ for the sandwich is a fair price. The taste was good but nothing special, just a good sandwich. It’s more a shop for to go orders. Service was ok, had to wait until the staff took my order even if nobody was in front of me.

Note there is not a lot of seating inside so it’s more of a grab and go. There are a few seats outside.“

Vegetarian options: The workers are fine with any replacement or add on and there is quiet a few vegetarian options such as the cream cheese on cheesy jalapeño

Dietary restrictions: They have fruit and different types of bagels and cream cheese etc so it meets any dietary meals.“

“Now I love me some bagels. I eat bagels several times in a week. I walked by this place and I said let me look at the menu. The prices seemed pretty good. Then I couldn’t even decide what I wanted because it all looked so darn delicious. People kept trickling in and I’m like oh shoot this place is busy. It was around lunchtime. I was greeted every employee in there seemed super happy with smiles on their face like they loved their jobs. They all worked fast. There was about four or five people making bagels stocking everything and just doing their job very thoroughly. But I will say this if you’re not a bagel fan come here and it will change your mind from how they pair their sauces, meats, eggs, veggies everything altogether you will fall in love with this place. Best bagel ever for the first time customer I will be back. I will become a regular.“

The Gentlemen Who Was Their was close to closing up so we were his last customers of the night. Not only did he let us pick any Donuts as I got a 1/2 Dz (Look I couldn’t just pick one. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup.
