“Contemporary Catering is incredible. Period. Hire them. It will be the best decision you make. It certainly was ours. My (now) wife and I spent over a year planning our wedding weekend and Rob, Rachel, and, of course, Chef Nate, were there for us every step of the way. First, the food: It is 5-stars, no joke. I am a “foodie” and a bit of a self-admitted food snob. Honestly, I would drive an hour daily to Encino to eat in their test kitchen 7 days a week if they would let me. Even now, three weeks after our wedding, our guests continue to rave to me about the food (pro tip: you NEED to serve the mini chicken and waffles appetizer). Trust me when I tell you that their execution was flawless and the quality was exquisite. Second, the people: You will not find a more invested, passionate, and sincere team of individuals who love what they do and are so good at it. They are unbelievably responsive, overly generous with their time, extremely attentive to detail and endlessly patient. Without a doubt, we can say that thanks to Contemporary our wedding day was perfect and we are so grateful to everyone on the team. Rob and his team provided so much more value than I ever thought possible. We will ALWAYS refer Contemporary to our friends, families, and loved ones in need of wedding catering and, personally, we can’t wait to work with them again to cater other events in our future! “INCREDIBLE!! We called on Lady & Larder to help us with a charcuterie “flat lay” for our Spring Fling party of 100 people and they 💯 surpassed our expectations!! We knew nothing about this vendor other than the outstanding reviews we read. The sweetest gentleman showed up at the house early, prepared and got busy right away setting up on the 7’ long dining table. He brought beautiful wood crates to create multiple levels of assorted cheeses & meats, hummus & crudités, nuts & beautifully sliced fruits, multiple types of small crackers & breads… even supplied small jars of honey & dippers as well as small jars of spicy mustards. Gorgeous Protea flowers were carefully placed for the finishing touches. One hour after he arrived… we were blown away with the end result!! Our guests were impressed!! The Bruschetta was meticulous and delicious, my wife had the Picatta and I had a Calzone. Pasta was perfectly to the tooth. The chicken tender and flavorful. My Calzone (I make my own and have eaten them all over) was exceptional and the sauce was fresh and lovely spotlight on the tomato. “My wedding was about two months ago at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, and David and his team were beyond incredible! From our very first meeting, he was welcoming and attentive. The food tasting was such a lovely experience, and he thoughtfully applied every single note we shared.

The ingredients were fresh, the service was top-notch, and his staff was both professional and friendly. Beyond catering, David truly cared for the entire flow of the venue—his experience in the wedding industry really shined, especially since many of my other vendors were beginners.

During the reception, he was constantly walking around, checking in, and making sure every table was taken care of. That level of attention gave me so much peace of mind on such an important day.

“We have been working with Haute Chefs LA for at least 9 years!
Haute Chefs are always the first on my list when I have to cater a dinner or event.

Their prices are incredibly reasonable for everything you get, but lets be honest, we're here to talk about their food. Their food is always delicious and portions VERY generous. Their presentation is also something you can't forget about, we eat with our eyes first.

They have also become very conscientious of people's dietary needs over the years that I never have trouble finding gluten-free or vegan options on their menu for those with dietary restrictions.

I was going to list some of my personal favorites, but then the list got very long. However, you can't go wrong with their roasted cauliflower, steak & shrimp. Their charcuterie & cheese board is also very beautiful and delicious with the freshest in-season fruits. Their menu has something for everyone, and they are willing to take any other adjustment should you need them for one reason or another.
