It isn’t easy to find a good fried chicken sandwich in the valley and I was incredibly (and surprisingly) pleased. A shame that due to slow business they will be shutting down in October. “As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.

There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.

There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.

Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.“

I got a whole chicken and used it throughout the week for lunch and dinner. I also get their bottled dressings and salad and make wraps for lunches. I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. “They have the best gorditas around! It’s been a min since I’ve been back. Arrived on a Monday late afternoon and no one was there. Oh yes, call ahead if you want to order the gorditas. Like I mentioned previously they make it from scratch so it takes some time. The lady on the phone said my to go order would take 20 mins. Decided to eat it there and my heart melt! The salsa is bomb, the food is bussin, come support small businesses!

“my experience here was great. I came close to closing on Sunday 08/11/25 and the cashier at front told me what they still had prepared. Then when he realized he was out he informed me it would be about 15 minutes while they made it fresh, which i was ok with. During that time i also witnessed the cashier handle a slow customer, and a loud but not necessarily rude customer. That cashier is a solid employee, management you'd do well to keep him. The chicken was also great. Jollibee level chicken, which i feel kfcs all over the place have been falling behind in recent years.

“KFC chicken is some of the best chicken in the world. They have a $20.00 meal that will feed a family of five and have some leftovers. The coleslaw and mashed potatoes are my favorite. The customer service was great that day. The restaurant and restroom were clean. I will be more than happy to return to this store.“

KFC offers several side dishes. Got my order without Cole Slaw and I said the picture shows all of the above with biscuit. There is no indoor seating, only outdoor; 2 tables with 4 seats and 1 table with 1 seat. 3 guys were at 1 table and a homeless man had all his stuff on the seats and on the table. I was left with 1 seat table that faces the wall. I thought I lost my seat because I had to go inside and clear up the mess with the Cole Slaw, I think I paid more because I paid for 2 sides separately. I went way out of my way to this KFC because there are not many in Santa Monica or Venice (where I came from). Everybody left and I moved to a better seat with a view of the street to finish my soda.“
