“I see some FAKE reviews below from the competition recently during the pandemic take-out period. I know business is tough, but that's not right. Escalon loves this place! Sad!Very consistent food offerings and very friendly staff. Before sheltering in place, was often full and with many waiting for take out. Fast preparation too (hence the name "Express". Reasonable prices. I've eaten here and I've never been disappointed. True, you can find better Chinese food at some establishments, but at a higher price. Try the Vegetable Shrimp, Lemon Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken...always work for me. They have some new flavored Boba teas. Haven't tried them myself, but I see women at lunch time ordering them often. My fav restaurant.“

“Garlic chicken and chicken wonton soup (I get mine plain without bok choy) and chicken fried rice (no egg for me I am allergic) and the green beans (yes they are spicy) but I mix them in with the rice and chicke! They're fantastic with all my modifications due to picky eaters and allergies.“

“We have been looking for good Chinese food since the Beijing closed in Modesto and have found it at Grand Asia. The atmosphere is charming with plenty of comfortable booths. The waitress was a lot of fun and was happy to explain some of the ingredients we were unfamilir with. Best of all, the food was excellent, piping hot and served very quickly. The ingredients were fresh and really good quality. We enjoyed honey walnut shrimp, their house specialty combo of kung pao chicken, and combo chow mein. Our praise to the chef! Grand Asia is our new favorite Chinese restaurant.“

“The food is always good and you get a lot for your money. We usually get takeout because it's just nicer to eat at home and the dining room is fairly dated, plus it's only open for lunch since the pandemic. You can get a large variety of dishes, including veggies as well. Recommend this business to anyone who likes Chinese food.“

“Really good food here and i was really surprised when i got my bill the prices are more than fair. I had a War Wonton soup that has been hands down the best one ive tried so far, the Mongolian beef was also very good and flavorful but for my taste i need to ask for it very spicy next time, the pan fried noodles were phenomenal one of my weaknesses but the highlight was the presentation of the appetizer sampler the comes with the dinner meal and the variety of flavors and textures it offers. I 100% recommend this place when visiting Oakdale. Plus the lady that attended us was very nice super sweet she even packed all our left overs for us.“

I've been eating here since the day they opened, and I never had a bad dish. Their food is always fresh, and the flavor is always consistent. Their establishment is always very clean, and I always get great service. It seems like their portion sizes have gotten a little smaller since covid, but that is pretty much everywhere nowadays.“

“We had it delivered. Hadn't eaten there before. My son ordered wonton soup today, because the place we order from usually was closed today. Wonton soup is the best when you are feeling under the weather. It's a cure-all. Well, it arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. So much flavor! “It has been a few months since ive been here but this place is great! When I tell you, the egg rolls are a MUST HAVE, that is not an overstatement. They are cheap yet huuugeee and soo tasteful!! the miso soup, I am not too much of a fan specifically just my taste it was very mushroomy and I don't like mushrooms. I did have the teriyaki plate and that was great. I wouldn't say it is authentic chinese food but it is pretty dang bomb for a fast food spot. I would definitely come back“

“This place is so good and clean! The prices you can't beat. Best chinese in east side Modesto. Its def a hole in the wall restaurant but that's the best kind of restaurants in my humble opinion. Garlic chicken and pork chow mein highly recommended. I just wished they had like a homemade chili sauce that would be epic! Thank you ?

“This was the Lover’s Boat at JP Asian Fusion in Modesto! It was such a pretty place on the inside, and it was so fancy! My 2 siblings and I shared what was on the boat while one of my brothers got the fried rice because he isn’t really into seafood haha The boat was definitely very beautiful, and I really liked how they even put some fish inside of a fancy cup at the end of the boat! The downside was that the three of us didn’t feel super full after splitting everything evenly, but that’s okay haha The fried rice was alright!“

“Stop complaining about small portions, the prices reflect the portions. Don’t expect a load of food for a cheap price. This place tastes very good the fried shrimp was excellent and the pork noodle soup was very tasty as well! A very good and rare meal for this truck driver! :)“

“Service was great even during busier time. They were out of beef but the pork was killer, and overall the food was good especially for the price.

Only thing was it was a bit dirty,noodles on the floor and sauce was all over the sauce area. But they apologized and honestly wasn't a huge issue“

“By far our favorite Chinese restaurant. Always clean. Very accommodating. Amazing food and staff is very helpful and friendly. Our faves are honey walnut prawns, salt and pepper eggplant and hot and spicy green beans. Their sizzling rice soup is a fun starter for eating in-restaurant.“

“Love this spot and visit it 2 to 3x's a week. I always get the same thing, and I reward my German shepards of their training goes well. They know as soon as we drive up. I find their chicken to be the best ever......Some of the other locations need a bit more work... But all in all....this one rocks...
