“Stopped into Super Gyros shop off McHenry Road in Modesto. The guy behind the counter was super friendly. They are also supporters of our EMS and Police. The had two American flags on the wall. One with a blue stripe and one with a red stripe. Lots of meat on the Gyros, and thr hummus portions were huge. We will be going back.“

We’ve had Kyle as our server at lunch and he’s always happy, welcoming, and an excellent server. Highly recommend you try Mike’s Grillhouse for lunch or dinner. They have a great variety of choices in their menu. You won’t be disappointed. Their portions are plentiful enough to be able to split a meal if you don’t have a big appetite. They have a Beer & Wine only license, I believe. The Wine Margaritas are very good. Try them— in shopping area east of Costco— You won’t be disappointed.“

“I popped in here the other day and will be going back. I got the crispy egg noodles (a bit excessive on the amount of noodles), and it was very good. The spring rolls and their peanut sauce are also very good.

“My husband and I tried this place for the first time last Monday. It was great! We had the outside area near the outdoor fire to ourselves. The food and drinks were on fire LITERALLY. The portions were very big so I would say it’s worth the money. Two people could easily share an entree. The drink didn’t taste that good and they did forget to add shrimp to my pasta but besides that it was a very nice night. We would try this place again!“

“This is my first time eating here at Gillman's. I ordered a double fat boy w/cheese, (no relish, no onions) with a side of garlic fries and a pineapple shake. The attitude and friendliness of the staff, show you their appreciation for your business. The down to earth, chill atmosphere is a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The food. . .let me tell you about the food music I could taste. From the fresh grilled london broil beef patties to the lightly sweet cool crunch of the lettuce and tomato. Garlic fries had just the right amount of diced garlic and melted cheese to not overpower any other item that it is ordered with. Everything was perfectly cooked to order with an intent to satisfy the most famished of customers. Truly great food with reasonable prices! Go and try for yourself when you're in Oakdale!“

“Bella Italia is very nice place for dinner while in town. It is not the best ever, but we were quite happy with almost everything we ordered. The place is really pretty and the prices are fair.

We just loved the service. We were seated straight away. They have a nice wine list. Our server knew the menu well and was fast but we never felt rushed. I would make a reservation. We were there on a weekday and ate early so we were in great shape.

Most of the food we had was great. The minestrone soup was just perfect. We also loved our salads. I had the chicken marsala and it was just so melt in your mouth wonderful and packed with yummy mushrooms. We also had the ravioli in a white sauce that was so good. I would get that again. Finally, we had fried ravioli and it was good, not great. That I will not try again. There is just too much thick crust for me, but you might love it. The ravioli within the crust was very good.

All in all we would come back. We just loved the service, the calm atmosphere and the vast majority of the food.

We usually get takeout because it's just nicer to eat at home and the dining room is fairly dated, plus it's only open for lunch since the pandemic. It's been some time since he's been there, and he says she wasn't there but I think he lied to me because he didn't want me to see her. We had about an hour and a half still to drive before we got to the cotton fields so we filled up with some pretty Awesome food! And let me tell you something...the stuffed chicken breast was beyond Amazing!

They had chunks of chicken! Not over processed and light and cooked for the perfect chew. The dipping couldn't be any more perfect and just the right heat.
