Super nice, friendly older man behind the counter helped me pick an item when I told him it was my first time visiting; ordered the Birria Taco plate.
Food came quickly. Rice and beans were very good. Tacos looked absolutely mouth watering, but unfortunately were boring. The cheese was excellent, as was the tortillas, but the Birria meat was almost flavorless and the cup of dipping sauce was basically onion water. Maybe those air force folks...read full review

Taqueria Durango, located in Fairfield, CA, is known for its delicious "Tacos de birria" and "Quesabirria." The kitchen, run by Mrs. Gricelda, serves up excellent food that has earned them awards for friendliness and attention. This hidden gem is close to the air force base and offers tasty dishes like carnitas quesadilla, ribs, pastor tacos, and Carne asada super burritos. The restaurant tables are old and it can get a little muggy in the summer, but don't let that fool you—they make the very best Quesobirria anywhere, with a generous amount of birria and melted cheese. The food is amazing, though a little salty on the meats, and the salsa may not be for everyone. However, the excellent customer service and friendly staff, including the generous owner Mr. Ramos, make this place a quick favorite. The clean establishment and tasty food, prepared by a great family, make it a great spot for Mexican cuisine, definitely worth a return visit.
