“This hidden gem has been here for years.
It has the best Mexican food, but I'll warn you that their house-made, free salsa is a bit hot (for this white girl).
I had the combination plate of shredded beef taco, chili Verde burrito, & shredded beef enchilada.
The taco was small but excellent, with Mexican cheese sprinkled on top of all that filling.
The enchilada was a little small too, but full of meat. Although the sauce is slighty dry, it is different & smoky. Really good also.
The burrito was so big, I took it home for later eating. Also excellent!
They must make their refried beans in house.
They don't have that bitter favor. I could've eaten them by the bowl, they were so good!
Try this place, and don't be put-off by any religious signs outside...the restaurant is as good as any.”

“Wonderful fresh fruit stand. This is the place to go if you're looking for a cup of extremely fresh fruit that is grown in the surrounding areas of Mendota, Firebaugh, Dos Palos, and Los Banos. Cantoloupes, watermelon, pineapple, Honeydew, mango, cucumber, etc. The owner also makes delicious frozen drinks that will definitely quench your thirst for something fresh and fruity.”

“Pizza here never disappoints. The prices are fair and the toppings are generous. The bread sticks are to die for and they give you a free sauce with them. Pizza is always consistent with the old Pacifica taste and they're ready right when they say they will be.
Great place overall.”
“This place is certainly one of the finest place to eat in the region. Always when I go there I am incredibly pleased. They maintain their very high standard service and the highest level of meals they offer. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.”

I don’t usually give reviews like this but this pizza really hit the spot after walking around the fair for a while!!!!!”

“Service was excellent in spite of seeming understaffed. The trays of food they served from seemed a bit messy but the food was fresh, the guacamole was legit: made of ripe avocados, a little red onion, cilantro, and salt. It's a truck stop restaurant, set your expectations properly!”

“Great food and the prices are great. I enjoy interacting with the workers and they are always asking for ways of improving service. They have a variety of meals and can order ahead if you are too busy for an inside meal.”
“This place will live on in my personal lore as the place where I first truly disgusted my wife. It was shortly after we got married and we were driving from my parents in Southern to her parents Northern California during a college break. We stopped by for gas and saw that this place had plenty of options. I got a $5 Hot-N-Ready, propped my pizza open on and got on the freeway. I then ate the entire pizza in the amount of time it took for The Cure’s 1979 song Boys Don’t Cry to play. She was sufficiently disturbed and the pizza satisfied me for the remainder of our drive.
We never found this place again until our last road trip when it appeared like a the oasis that it is. It is still exactly how you think a middle of nowhere food court would be and its Little Caesar’s, you know what it tastes like. If you leave here unsatisfied it’s yourself for having expectations.”

“Great McDonald's. We ate here at dinner when coming back from our Los Angeles trip. We live in Fremont. It was great. I had a Filet of Fish burger. Great food. People who come on long drives - Los Angeles to the Bay Area - stop at this McDonald's!”
“Everything was perfect.
I even had the opportunity to speak with the Manager Mark and it is apparent he why the store runs so smoothly and efficiently with him as its leader. Thank you Starbucks for employing and empowering Leaders like Mark.”

“Asada sorta was 4 out of 5 stars. Everything about it was good though it could have had a little more meat. The red salsa is 5 stars. Tripa tacos were not crispy like I wanted otherwise good. Horchata was good. Not too powdery and not watered down, just right. I would eat here again when I'm in Mendota.”
“This a cute little hole in the wall. It’s clean and neat! I was just craving Pupusas and I got these big beautiful thick, cheesy beauties that I couldn’t even finish in one sitting. They are sooo good! Not greasy at all!! Just cheesy deliciousness! I love them!”
“Really good coffee. Almond milk latte was creamy. Barista was very nice and accommodating. They do need to clean the restroom. You can always tell how clean a place is by their restroom.”

“It is just a perfect example of a well prepared, fresh Mexican food.
Great flavor, perfect amount of spice.
The Carne asada was perfect. Not piece of chewy.
Personally, they are small (street size) for $3.
I would gladly pay $5 to $7 for a full-size taco.
The salsa was not spicy (I have a very high spice tolerance), but they did have Fresh Grilled Jalapeños available.
The menu is simple, which is appropriate for the restaurant and kitchen size.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The restaurant was exceptionally clean and organized.
I will definitely return when I'm in the area.
It is also worth driving out of town for.
Parking: Street parking and a parking lot on the side of the building”

“Josue whipped up handmade, piping hot papusas at their pop-up outside the El Salvador Consulate in Fresno, and they were BOMB!! I got one of each filling they offer: cheese, bean, chicharron, especial, and loroco. Crispy exterior and fluffy, STUFFED interior (topped with their homemade pickled cabbage and carrot spiced slaw and red salsa)…I’m more than impressed with the work he and his sister put in, and there were lots of customers there in the short time I was there!!”
“The best small town donut shop!! A wide variety to pick your favorite donut or try a delicious jalapeno and ham and cheese croissant!! You can grab a cup of coffee also and the service is amazing!!!”

“Very clean place inside & outside, well arranged where they serve you a variety of dishes. I stopped here for the pupusas which is my favorite Salvadorian dish. The people tending the place were amicable & welcoming and had a very positive vibe to them. I ordered a pair of pupusas along with two Pacifico beers and it was very satisfying after a long day of driving. Mendota California rules! USA
Vegetarian options: Loroco pupusas”
