“I use to go to RH with my family in the 70's. Atmosphere always transported us to Hawaii. They were famous for BB ribs, drinks, unique salad (with mayo dressing) and even served a bowl of crudite' with celery, salami, etc. every meal. I didn't like the modern re model, however, NOW THIS RE BUILD iS so cool! Just like the 1970's but better!! Dim lit and Hawaiian music set the mood. I was really anxious to try the ribs again. The service was GREAT appetizer excellent but, ribs, BAD! They were not edible. Hard and chewy, like beef jerky. I was so disappointed and all of our party ordered and received the same. I may try again but won't order ribs!!!“

“I am SO GLAD Ono Hawaiian came to my city ( Lake Forest)! We have L&L near us, Nalu's and Aloha BBQ, but been there, done that. Ono brings prime flavor for the Hawaiian BBQ must haves. They pack it in the flavor and is so worth the trip! And, the staff are super duper nice. We've been here three times and their excellent customer service is consistent. My family is hooked and wouldn't go anywhere else.“

You order your food at a counter inside the restaurant which has indoor seating but I highly recommend sitting outside. There are many tables both in the shade or out in the sun, a large water fountain, and many trees and shrubs. If you do choose to sit outside be sure to tell them when you place your order. They'll bring the food to you but they don't offer full service at the outdoor tables. They will eventually bus your table but I'm sure they'd appreciate it if you do it yourself by bringing your plates inside and putting them on the cart close to the restrooms.

I usually order the same thing every time: the Breakfast Egg Burrito with either Spam or bacon. These burritos are large and stuffed with generous quantities of deliciousness.“

I usually get the mini plate which includes one protein (I choose Kalbi) one base (I choose rice) plus two sides (I get japchae and asian broccoli) It's full of flavor and it's a lot of food so I usually have left overs. The staff are friendly And they have rewards system so be sure to sign up and get credits especially on your birthday.“

“Legit the best chicken katsu I’ve had. I’ve ordered it in a dozen places including Hawaii and have Never been impressed. I almost didn’t want to order it because I thought it’d be another disappointment... But it was everything I ever thought it should be. Juicy and crispy with a good sauce. The spam masubi was fire and all the fixin’s were good too. The pork wasn’t my thing and I regret not getting short ribs or bbq beef though.

“Decided to finally try Stacks after hearing that it was good for breakfast. I had the loco moco & buttermilk pancakes. The loco moco was actually pretty good & I'm a critic when it comes to hawaiian cuisine. The pancakes were average not bad but not the best I've had. I'd be back.“

“I really like this place. I have taken friends here and they all like it. The rice bowl or sauce and the meats are really good. The potato macaroni salad and other sides and the sandwhiches. Basically anything on the menu i like. This older asia man i think might be the owner was there more around september or so i havent seen him the past couple times ive been there. He is very friendly and personable. One of the cashiers the past couple times is good but he needs to stop wearing earbuds unless its for a hearing reason. He seems disinterested and always asks to repeat myself. And he is playing video games on his ipad which im not attacking but no one wants to feel like theyre interrupting the workers who are meant to provide service to them and i know this from experience since i have worked in cpunter service before. But im not trying to trash him just giving feedback. Great job guys thank you, it is the best affordable place to eat near saddleback college. Much appreciated in Jesus name.“
