All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “Halal spot ; We were on the way to South back home and stop by this restaurant for our light dinner.
I think it’s family owned and the prices are pretty reasonable. The staff were very friendly, and assisted us in ordering. Everything turned out good, they were super nice providing us extra condiments, etc. Be sure to select your spice level wisely cuz we ended up in tears, but we still enjoyed it though.

“We chose this place for brunch after a long search for the right restaurant. We focused on the choice on the menu and the availability of good coffee. Bayshore cafe met our expectations. The patio was wonderful. The fountain enlivened the atmosphere. Almost all tables are equipped with an open fire (if desired), but are too low for eating (we are tall, with a belly).
The server was exactly how we like service - friendly, respectful, fast, thoughtful. Our company rated all ordered dishes 5*. Baklava is a separate major song! Thank you very much for starting the day off.
But I would like to draw your attention to the fact that only one detail distracted from our meal - several intrusive flies. One even drowned in a glass of orange juice, which she had to part with. You can hang some sticky tape or something, I'm sorry.

“I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. Had the rendang chicken, a side of roti with curry and it was delicious, with side of coconut rice.
Great atmosphere, full bar, attentive staff, with location and parking really not a problem.
I certainly will return on my next visit. back and try the beef rendang.

“Was super excited to eat at Masala Bae. My friend had been hyping the lunch buffet for so long and we would always talk about coming to eat here on a Saturday morning. Well today was finally the day and it really didn’t disappoint.

We showed up pretty much as soon as it opened and only had to wait about five minutes before we could start getting food from the buffet. It was all so delicious! The standouts for me were the paneer and the chili chicken. I felt like these two dishes complemented each other incredibly well. I am not much of a dessert guy but I also tried the different desserts they had and I enjoyed them very much. Especially the custard with the fruits.

The waitstaff were all amazing as well. Super welcoming and friendly, they made us feel right at home. It was nice and cold inside which was also great because of the heat outside. Would love to come back and eat here again.“
