All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “The guy who makes the Manti and the Samsa wasn’t there. That made me a little sad but our food came out really fast. It was a very homely atmosphere. The food literally almost caused me to ascend. The food was incredible. I have no complaints.“

“Halal spot ; We were on the way to South back home and stop by this restaurant for our light dinner.
I think it’s family owned and the prices are pretty reasonable. The staff were very friendly, and assisted us in ordering. Everything turned out good, they were super nice providing us extra condiments, etc. Be sure to select your spice level wisely cuz we ended up in tears, but we still enjoyed it though.

“Great Halal Food options in LA. Delicious food. Loved their Cheeseburger and special sauce. A must have if you ever visit this place.

The only thing off was their ambience and atmosphere. Extremely dull and off-putting. No modern vibe of a cafe.“

“We chose this place for brunch after a long search for the right restaurant. We focused on the choice on the menu and the availability of good coffee. Bayshore cafe met our expectations. The patio was wonderful. The fountain enlivened the atmosphere. Almost all tables are equipped with an open fire (if desired), but are too low for eating (we are tall, with a belly).
The server was exactly how we like service - friendly, respectful, fast, thoughtful. Our company rated all ordered dishes 5*. Baklava is a separate major song! Thank you very much for starting the day off.
But I would like to draw your attention to the fact that only one detail distracted from our meal - several intrusive flies. One even drowned in a glass of orange juice, which she had to part with. You can hang some sticky tape or something, I'm sorry.

“First time at Yo Yo Burgers and so glad I stopped by. Their variety of burgers, toppings and sauces are Amazing. The brioche bread is perfect and with seasoning on the patties. “I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

Highly recommend the cold mezze dishes like fresh hummus and baba ghanoush that are just SO GOOD and fresh, and then the hot plates like kibbeh and sambusik that are perfect for sharing (great portion sizes here).

For entrees: the grilled meats. They do kofta, lamb chops, ribeye, chicken… every single bite is packed with flavor/perfectly cooked!! That kofta though!!

For entrees we ordered the nasi goreng fried rice which was my favorite dish. Highly recommend! The hainan chicken was good too. The sauces it came with were subtle, I was hoping for more flavor since the fried rice was so flavorful. Our table was wobbly and it was a bothersome while eating but a server came by to refill our waters and noticed the table was wobbly and pushed it against the wall for us and that fixed the issue.“
