“So, MLW (My Lovely Wife) & I are driving home from Lodi CostsSo. Since we didn't spend our usual $300, and were both quite hungry, we (She) decided to check out this new place you folks have been buzzing about, called The Hangout. Now, as it turns out, my neighbor of 7+ years told me that his youngest daughter worked at this new establishment, so we were hoping to catch her. Not today. As MLW and I enter, we notice that the place seems quite comfortable, with music and a nice atmosphere. Their menu was quite extensive. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered sang'wiches, chips, specialty teas, and 1 order of their homemade crépes. My sang'wich was The Wolf (shaved pastrami), and MLW's was The Cali Bird (Turkey/Avocado). As we are enjoying our VERY delicious sang'wiches, the young lady, who we saw making our sang'wiches, came over to ask if everything was to our liking. We get to talking and exchange names. She says that her name is Bobbi. I say "How weird! That now makes 3 women that we know, named Bobbi; Bobbi Swetland, Bobbi Torrez, and now you!"...She says "I'm Bobbi Torrez! OMG! I thought I recognized you two!"...We hadn't physically seen Bobbi in 3+ years. She had darker hair then (not braided and pulled back), glasses, and she was running the front office for her husband Brian, at Brian's Automotive! Wow! I know that Small World/6 Degrees of Separation is a bit of a stretch, but still! We have loved the Torrez(es), ever since we met them, 7+ yrs ago. They are The Best people. We are so glad that Bobbi and her Son decided to take a chance and open up this business! Okay, back to the food! Great sang'wiches; I am a bit of a sang'wich snob. Good meat, fresh bread, proper layering, fresh veggies. They had it all. The many flavored teas (with sugar-free options) were very refreshing. But the crépes (see the pictures)! That was one order! And all of it was very fairly priced. Ok, it was a long story, but we finally arrived at the important part; great food, great service, great people, fair prices! We will definitely be back! “I always love going to the shop, it is an adventure. I find something new everytime I go in, from the amazing turnovers, PIES, and great cookies.

The homemade jams are one of my favorites (think like Grandma made) and they change with the seasons.

IMPORTANT....if you want something specific around a holiday.....ORDER ahead ... don't expect to walk in and get exactly what you want (unless it is cookies). The staff is super sweet and helpful.“

“Food was prepared quickly and as ordered. Restaurant was neat and tidy. All this right in the middle of the 12:00 lunch hour. Special shout out to Jimmy (Mr. Rogers) who went out of his way to make sure our table was clean and we had everything we needed. Never felt so taken care of at a McDonald's.“

“Just ran through the drive through in the morning on the way out of town. the parking lot is a little confusing to get into if you have just gotten off of 99 going northbound but other than that the food was good however I did have to pull around to the front and wait for my 3 sausage mcmuffins which feels a little ridiculous. would go again if I pass by and am hungry“
