it was my first visit it will definitely be my spot whenever I'm in town
When I had work in Hawthorne, I would stop by and get a bite. It's been a few years since I've been here, but the food was still excellent. I got curry goat, which is now probably the best curry goat in LA County. Perfectly seasoned and so tender. My friend got the jerk chicken which was also good. I love that we got pepper sauce without having to ask for it.

The food is packed with flavor and cooked just right, with oxtail that is rich and fall-off-the-bone good. The rice and peas is perfectly cooked and juicy, and the mac & cheese is wonderful. Portions are generous and the seasoning hits all the right notes. It is a solid spot for well-made island comfort food.
