Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. The hostess, Star was very friendly and welcoming. I'm from the Chi and recommend it highly. Price was right also.Looking for good food check Matthews at 2222 W. Rosecran out. Was in the mood for Catfish & Grits(after eating my oatmeal smh).Matthews delivered hot fish and creamy grits! Portion was right (2 fish fillets,). Food was HOT and FRESH : )2 cents: I see a lot of reviews complaining about the lack of salt in the food. Me and my boyfriend are vacationing here in California and were in need of some soul food that was also black owned. :) The food was amazing and the service was great too. Definitely coming back!
